Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival at the JKIA an Africa Travel Club representative will meet and welcome you to Nairobi, Kenya’s principal economic, administrative, and cultural centre and is one of the largest and fastest-growing cities in Africa.

Your hotel is a 20-30mins drive away.

Expert tips

Depending on your time of arrival, you could be persuaded to try out the city nightlife. Nightlife in Nairobi is bustling, to say the least. Live music is everywhere and even nightclubs host a mix of DJ sets and guest bands. There are plenty of bars and discos in the city centre but the best can be found in the suburbs, particularly in Westlands. Be warned: persistent prostitutes frequent many bars, even the more upmarket ones.

However because of the long drive in the morning, you might need to get some rest.

Day 2: Nakuru

After breakfast we set off, driving north, we ascend the Great Rift Valley, making a stop at the View Point for photos. The Great Rift Valley was formed millions of years ago. Stretching some 5,000miles from Jordan to Mozambique, its the longest rift on Earth. In Kenya, it gave rise to many lakes like Lake Nakuru that have become a habitat for diverse wildlife.

Lunch will be served at lake Nakuru Lodge. After lunch we take a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park often described as the world's biggest ornithological spectacle. This lake is famous for its flocks of over one million Greater and Lesser Flamingos. The abundance of these birds is due to the alkaline mineral salts in the water, which support vast blooms of the blue green algae and diatoms on which the flamingos feed. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. It is also one of the few places where we can see Rothschild's giraffes.

Day 3: Masai Mara

After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha, for an hour of a complimentary boat ride, visit schools of hippos, watch the over 150 bird species of birds that the lake is known for before proceeding to Masai Mara.
Ascending through the Western Wall of the Great Rift Valley floor, we reach arguably Kenya’s most celebrated natural attraction, the Masai Mara game reserve. A 1,500 sq. km slab of open Savannah dotted with acacia trees-the Kenyan section of the wildly beautiful Serengeti plains, teems with wildlife. Being in the Mara has been described by some authorities as ‘’ being in the New York of the natural world’’
You will spend the next 02 nights here to explore. Lunch will be followed by an evening game drive till dusk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/similar.

Day 4: Masai Mara

Pace yourself for a long day like today we do a full day game drive with picnic lunches in the bush, exploring the reserves’ amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August, and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year-round. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Nairobi

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Masai Mara in style, passing by a Maasai Cultural Village to learn about the Maasai way of life as they stick to their old traditions…

We proceed to Nairobi arriving around 1600hrs. Free afternoon for shopping tour of Nairobi. In the evening, we head to the World Famous Carnivore Restaurant - Dining at Carnivore Restaurant, located around 8km from Nairobi’s city center, is not for the light eater, but rather an indulgent “Nyama Choma” dining venue where you sample an abundance of varied juicy meats roasted over a charcoal fire that are piled on your plate until your stomach is beyond full.

When the meat has reached a perfect temperature, waiters carry the full skewers through the restaurant, and the aromas tempt your taste buds and stir your curiosity. Since 1980, Carnivore Restaurant has been satisfying the appetites of meat lovers and safari adventurers with a never-ending selection of ostrich, crocodile; venison depending on what is locally available, served alongside beef, lamb, pork and chicken. Vegetarians are also catered for!

Later on, transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight at Nairobi Safari Club

Guides are also happy to assist clients with photographs whilst visiting this most spectacular of waterfalls. Raincoats are provided when needed.
