Arrive in Johannesburg.

We'll arrange for a VIP meet & greet on arrival. The handler will meet you at the aircraft, assist with immigration procedures and luggage collection and then accompany you to the Arrivals Hall where you will meet your driver.

Transfer to your hotel (drive time 40 minutes) and spend the evening at leisure.

Your driver will transfer you to Johannesburg Airport (drive time 40 minutes) where you will check in for your flight to Maun in Botswana - departs 11:20am / arrives 1:30pm. Here you will connect with the flight to your first safari lodge - duration 30 minutes.

**Small bush planes. Shuttle service, so guests may be dropped off at other lodges before proceeding to your destination. Soft-sided bags required. 

Your ranger will meet you on arrival and transfer you to the lodge. Check in and settle in ahead of your afternoon safari drive which departs at around 4:00pm. Your experienced ranger will tell you more about the sights you encounter along the way. 

Return to the lodge for some drinks around the fire followed by dinner.

NOTE that you will have a private ranger for the duration of your stay, so your daily schedule is completely flexible. 

• Game drive through vast tracts of pristine wilderness in search of lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo and the rare sitatunga antelope.
• View the wildlife at eye level on a boat or traditional mokoro safari through the lily-filled channels (NB water activities are subject to water levels in the Delta but this area of the Delta gets water almost all year round).
• Cruise over the vast landscapes of the Okavango Delta on a scenic helicopter flight (at an additional cost).
• Head out (by heli) on a community visit to meet with some of our community based outreach partners in the nearby villages. You’ll also spend time with one of our conservation partners to see first hand how together we are able to make a difference to wildlife conservation in the area (at an additional cost).

You'll  be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the Okavango Delta - flight time 20 minutes.

On arrival, your ranger will meet you and transfer you to the lodge. Check in and enjoy a refreshing drink before the afternoon game drive departs. Your ranger will showcase the beauty of the animals found in this piece of paradise.

Return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner.

Overnight Xigera in a Suite - Twin - Fully Inclusive of all meals, selected drinks and private game drives

Enjoy twice daily game drives and interpretive bush walks with your ranger.

NOTE that you will have a private ranger and safari vehicle for your stay. 

Daily land and water excursions allow guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of the Okavango Delta, a region as famous for its tawny grasslands and verdant riverine forests as the flood plains that fill with crystal clear waters each year.

An experience unique to the Delta is a morning spent gliding along flooded channels by mokoro, the traditional dug-out canoes found in the area. Boat cruises are also offered. NOTE that water activities are water-level dependent. 

In between game drives, relax by the pool, read a book or enjoy a pampering spa treatment (spa treatments at an additional cost).

Transfer to the airstrip where you will board your flight to Maun (duration 15 minutes) and onwards to Cape Town - departs 1:30pm / arrives 4:15pm.  

Your driver will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel - drive time 45 minutes. Settle in and spend the evening at leisure.

Dinner is not included, but we'll make recommendations for this evening.

Two days with a private tour guide to explore the city. 

This morning we head out to Cape Point for a tour with a difference. You'll forage for your lunch!

Explore the gardens, discover and pick edible floral foods and fresh organic vegetables. Forage for indigenous edible plants and winter weeds, learn how to sustainably harvest them, utilise them in your kitchen, grow them in your garden and explore some of their medicinal properties.

After your gathering tour, enjoy a seasonally inspired lunch meal. Each course is different according to the season and availability in the gardens and the bush.

Take a drive back to the city via the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive. Arrive back at the hotel in the late afternoon. 

Return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner is not included, but we'll make reservations for you. 

Another day of touring with your guide.

Enjoy a walking tour of the city, with a talk on the city's history and origins. This tour provides an in-depth insight into the colourful history of the Cape Colony and allows you to experience the modern day cosmopolitan vibe that is Cape Town. The tour duration is 2-3 hours. 

Head over to Table Mountain and take the cable way to the top. Enjoy stunning views of the city, the beaches and all the way to Cape Point on a clear day. Your guide will tell you more about the plants and animals found here.

We'll enjoy lunch before embarking on a cultural tour with a difference! Uthando is an organisation that does great work in Cape Town's townships. They aim to uplift and inspire the local communities through various projects that focus on music, dance, gardening, tree planting etc. Visiting these projects is a life-changing opportunity to meet the people and to see first-hand the hope they have for the future. 

Return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner is not included, but we'll make reservations for you.

Transfer to the town of Franschhoek, about 1 hour from Cape Town.  Here you will immerse yourselves in a journey of healing and relaxation.

Check out and transfer to Cape Town Airport (drive time 1 hour) for your flight to Tswalu. The flight time is about 2 hours.

On arrival, enjoy lunch and settle in. The lodge staff will tell you more about the excursions on offer, and you may want to join an excursion this afternoon if you so wish.

Return to the lodge in time for dinner.

Enjoy interpretive game drives with your private ranger.

Diverse habitats offer varied game viewing, including over 80 species of mammals such as black-maned Kalahari lion, desert black rhino, cheetah, giraffe, greater kudu, eland and oryx. Tswalu is also one of the best places in Africa to see five shy, nocturnal species that often prove elusive elsewhere, namely the brown hyena, aardwolf, aardvark, bat-eared fox and ground pangolin.

A big advantage of having your own safari vehicle, guide and tracker is the freedom to strike out in a different direction every day, whether to track one of the Kalahari’s iconic or elusive animals, focus on photography or identify some of the reserve’s endemic bird species. 

Nature walks are also offered. Much of Tswalu’s beauty can be found in the smaller details, which is best appreciated by getting off the vehicle. Then you will get up close to the ripples left by the wind on the crest of a sand dune, notice a yellow flower opening to face the sun, or be able to trace the tracks left in the sand by a porcupine digging for roots. 

The Meerkat Experience is very special. Join a group of habituated meerkats as they emerge from their burrows and warm themselves in the rising sun or meet up with them as they return home at the end of the day and groom and play at dusk.

Tswalu provides protection for many valuable rock art sites, featuring rock engravings, cupoles and paintings of people, animals, birds and abstract shapes that document the culture and history of the San and other early inhabitants of this place.
