We travel south from Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city, before continuing over the Spreetshoogte Pass into the heart of the Namib Desert, where vast open spaces and dramatic mountain scenery unfold.
Along the way, we stop to enjoy world famous apple pie at Moose McGregor’s Desert Bakery, a much loved desert landmark.
We then arrive at Desert Lodge, where there is time to relax by the pool or take part in optional lodge activities. These include guided hiking trails and a scenic sundowner drive across the desert landscapes.
Partake in a spectacular hot air balloon flight at sunrise, followed by a leisurely breakfast served on the open desert plains. This activity is optional and offers a truly unforgettable perspective of the Namib Desert.
We then visit Deadvlei and Sossusvlei, home to some of the highest sand dunes on the planet, where striking contrasts of colour and light create iconic desert scenery.
Later, we explore the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the Desert Lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s experiences.

We travel westward through the vast landscapes of the Namib Desert towards the coastal town of Swakopmund.
Arrive in time for lunch, followed by the option to enjoy quad biking and sandboarding on the dunes near Swakopmund. Alternatively, you may choose from a range of other optional activities available in the area.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at one of Swakopmund’s excellent restaurants before retiring for the night at your beach hotel, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

We rise early for an optional dolphin cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a world heritage site renowned for its rich and diverse marine life.
In the afternoon, you can choose to enjoy a guided 4x4 drive to Sandwich Harbor, where the towering dunes of the Namib Desert dramatically roll into the Atlantic Ocean, creating one of Namibia’s most iconic landscapes.
The day concludes with dinner at another fine local restaurant, followed by an overnight stay in Swakopmund.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you can choose to explore a variety of short and easy walking trails or simply relax by the swimming pool.
In the afternoon, we spend time tracking the desert elephants that roam this unique region. The day concludes with a breathtaking sundowner on a mountaintop, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

We take a short drive to the Twyfelfontein, where a guided walk allows us to admire some of the finest examples of San rock engravings in Namibia. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers remarkable insight into the region’s ancient hunter gatherer cultures.
We then visit the Petrified Forest to view impressive specimens of petrified tree trunks, estimated to be approximately 260 million years old, deposited here during ancient geological periods.
From there, we travel north to Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves.

The day is dedicated to a full-day game drive, exploring Etosha’s waterholes and seeking as many wildlife sightings as possible.
Animals you may encounter include lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of other plains game species.
The following day offers more Etosha adventure with morning and afternoon game drives, giving you the chance to witness the park’s incredible wildlife up close.
We pause midday to return to the lodge for a leisurely lunch and some well-deserved rest. Expect to encounter a variety of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and many other plains species.
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the waterhole at the lodge before traveling south to Okonjima Nature Reserve, home of the AfriCat Foundation, arriving in time for lunch.
Okonjima is a 30,000-hectare private reserve known for its stunning landscapes and wildlife, including leopards, brown hyenas, and pangolins. The AfriCat Foundation focuses on carnivore conservation, rehabilitation, and research, offering guests a unique insight into these efforts.
After lunch, enjoy an afternoon leopard tracking experience, guided by experts, giving you the chance to see these elusive cats up close in their natural habitat.

We rise early for a visit to the Carnivore Centre, including a memorable Cheetah Encounter, before enjoying a delicious brunch to prepare for our journey to Windhoek.
Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time to stop at the famous Okahandja Wood Carvers Market and the Windhoek Craft Centre to explore local arts and crafts.
We then proceed to the airport, concluding your unforgettable Namibian adventure and saying our goodbyes after an epic journey.
