Founded in 1979, the Quindío Botanical Garden is a peaceful natural reserve dedicated to conservation and environmental education. During your visit, you will walk along easy trails while discovering a rich variety of flora and fauna, including butterflies, birds, and hummingbirds. You will also explore themed areas such as the insect zoo, plant exhibitions, and observation tower, all while learning about the importance of nature and its delicate balance.
Later that day, you will discover the daily life of coffee farmers in Colombia’s Coffee Region. You will visit the seedbeds, explore the plantations, and learn about the coffee production process from planting to preparation. The experience concludes with the opportunity to prepare and enjoy your own freshly brewed cup of coffee at a traditional farm in Quindío.

On this full-day experience, you will visit Salento, the oldest town in Quindío, known for its colorful colonial architecture, flower-filled balconies, and local artisan shops. You will then continue to the breathtaking Cocora Valley, home to Colombia’s national tree, the Wax Palm, where you will enjoy a scenic hike of approximately 2 hours surrounded by stunning landscapes. The day also includes a visit to Filandia, a charming village known for its vibrant colors, traditional style, and picturesque streets, often considered one of the most beautiful towns in the region.
