Upon your arrival in Myeik, our guide will pick you up from the airport or bus station and transfer to your hotel. After some brief rest, we begin our exploration of the town. During most of it's long 400 years history Myeik had played a role of an important marine port and imperial trading hub where the goods from overseas would be unloaded and sent up further to the old capital of Siam Ayutthaya. In present days most of Myeik (or Beik as local call it) former glory has faded but it is still an important regional fishing and trading port.
We take a stroll through the old colonial quarter enjoying the unique architecture of old days - much of the town hasn't really changed for the past hundred or so years, with teakwood mansions of former wealthy merchants and colonial administrators still standing. There are yet only a few high rise buildings in town but things will likely change in near future as the region opens up.
In the evening enjoy a fabulous sunset over the Mergui bay from the Thein Daw Gyi pagoda grounds, and then check out busy nightlife and food stalls set up along the Myeik Strand road. Return to your hotel for overnight.
In the morning the team will pick up from your hotel and transfer to the main Myeik Jetty. From here we set off a boat trip to Bailey Island, leaving the docks at 8:00 a.m. Upon arrival to Bailey Island, we will start today's activities with snorkeling at Bello bay which boasts to be one of the best snorkeling spots in the Northern Mergui Archipelago. Kayaks will also be at your disposal, to explore the coastal areas of the bay. You will have unforgettable experiences with famous nemo (clown fishes) and corals under pristine turquoise water. After enjoying watersports and playing on the beach, we will have buffet lunch at 12:00 p.m. Spend rest of the day relaxing under the warm sun or exploring the nearby forest. After admiring at the unforgettable sunset above Andaman Sea, seafood dinner will be served. Stay overnight at the camp tonight.
Start your morning with Yoga session and exercise. After breakfast, you may choose activities between hike through the island or bird watching, just to your liking - for the adventurous ones (charges may apply). At noon we will serve lunch, then leave Bailey Island at 13:00 p.m. After about half an hour boat ride, we will arrive to Smart Island for some more leisure, sunbathing and swim. This place's unique feature being pebble beach on one side of the foreland and flawless white sand beach on the other. We will leave to Myeik at 15:00 p.m. and upon arrival at the jetty, drive and drop you off at a hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy free time and/or own exploration of the town (time permitting). The car with driver will will pick you up from hotel and transfer to Myeik domestic airport or bus station for your onward departure. End of services.
