Day 1: Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve

Day 1

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a Journey Beyond representative and assisted with customs, immigration and luggage collection before proceeding to the arrival’s hall.

Private road transfer from OR Tambo International Airport to OR Tambo International Airport Hangar.  Transfer time is approximately 15 minutes.

Scheduled seat in charter flight in a small aircraft from OR Tambo International Airport hangar to Buffalo Range International Airport. Rate is subject to change.

Day 1 – Day 5

Spend 4 nights at Singita Pamushana Lodge in the Malilangwe House with en suite facilities on a full board basis including accommodation, drinks (excluding French Champagne), daily activities, laundry, Wi-Fi, return Buffalo Range International Airport transfers and telephone calls. Activities include twice daily open Land Cruiser safaris per day, walking safaris, boat cruises, fishing and excursions to the rock art sites and tennis.

Set in Zimbabwe’s remote Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve, this elegant exclusive-use home is perched alongside Singita Pamushana Lodge on a sandstone ridge and offers inimitable views of the surrounding landscape and beautiful Malilangwe Dam below. Private road transfer from OR Tambo International Airport Hangar to Domestic departure Terminal. Transfer time is approximately 10 minutes.

Day 5 – Day 9

Spend 4 nights at The Silo in the Two Bedroom Penthouse with en suite facilities on a bed & breakfast basis including luxurious accommodation, breakfast, limited mini bar, In-Room snacks, Wi-Fi, access to fitness & spa facilities, guest liason and parking.

Private "The Very Best of the Cape Peninsula" Full Day Tour, including entrance fees and lunch

You will be met at The Silo to start your Private “The Very Best of the Cape Peninsula” Full Day Tour. We make our way along the Atlantic seaboard passing Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton. Bakoven and Llandudno, with their ghostly shipwrecks, are also fantastic sights on the way to the fishing village of Hout Bay, where we board a scheduled boat to view the Cape fur seal colony on Duiker Island (weather dependent). From here we navigate the 114 curves of 600m high Chapman’s Peak Drive. We enter the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park with its unique Cape fynbos vegetation and home to birds like African black oystercatchers and Cape sugarbirds as well as to very special fauna including Cape mountain zebra, bontebok (both endemic) and the charismatic Cape baboon. Climb (or ride the world’s first environmentally friendly funicular) to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse to capture the magical vistas of False Bay. After lunch, we visit Boulders Beach to see the penguins, and then head home through the naval village of Simonstown and over scenic Boyes Drive, taking in the views of the fishing harbour at Kalk Bay and the seaside havens of St. James and Muizenberg. To round off your day you can take a stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain. After the experience you will be dropped off at The Silo.

Private Peninsula tour

Take a drive through the charming and picturesque coastal towns of the Cape and enjoy spectacular views from the world-famous Chapman's Peak pass. Visit the charismatic penguins at Boulders Beach, and look out for Cape Fur Seals on Duiker Island. Don't forget to look for southern right whales and explore Table Mountain National Park in search of wildlife (both on land and in the air!) Marvel at the stunning scenery of Kirstenbosch Gardens and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Cape Town

Private Full Day A "City Full of Culture" - City, Table Mountain and scheduled Robben Island Tour, including entrance fees and lunch

You will be met at The Silo to start your Private Full Day City, Table Mountain and Robben Island Tour. We depart from Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront by scheduled ferry for a 25-minute trip across Table Bay to Robben Island. Led by guides, some of whom were once inmates, the tour of this World Heritage Site, and South Africa’s most revered national monument, includes the Prison Block and the now infamous Limestone Quarry, where political prisoners were once forced to toil. It also comprises a drive around the island, with its breathtaking views across the bay. We then return to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for a trip along the picturesque Atlantic Seaboard and lunch at a local restaurant en route. We continue past sunny Camps Bay, over Kloof Nek to Table Mountain’s Lower Cableway Station. 1 067m above sea level, Table Mountain affords bird’s-eye views of both the city and Peninsula, as you explore its summit. We return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter, for a walk through the Company’s Garden, a fresh produce garden for ships and locals from the mid-17th century, and now home to the South African Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St. George’s Cathedral. From there we drive to the Castle of Good Hope, South Africa’s oldest building, with its large collection of Old Cape paintings. We’ll take in the nearby Grand Parade, where Nelson Mandela addressed the nation on his release in 1990, and then move on to the District Six Museum. After the experience you will be dropped off at The Silo.

NB: Visits to Robben Island and Table Mountain are weather dependent. The sequence of this itinerary may change slightly to accommodate the weather.

City, Table Mountain & Robben Island

View the beautiful city of Cape Town from a new perspective, at the historical prison of Robben Island. Here, Nelson Mandela was infamously incarcerated for 18 years. The island has a 450 year history of imprisoning convicts, slaves, exiled princes, lepers and other political prisoners. Take a revolving cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain; enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and stroll through the Company Gardens; visit the impressive Castle of Good Hope and the District Six Museum.

You will be met at The Silo to start your Private Full Day Into the Vines & Wines Tour. Depart the city for the Winelands in the nearby Boland Mountains for a leisurely exploration of historic towns, liquid delights, gastronomic wonders and home-grown hospitality. Wine estates visited will vary according to client preferences, but the tour generally includes the region’s major wine producing areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek, and there are chances aplenty en route for tastings of world-renowned reds and whites, as well as Cap Classiques – South Africa’s answer to “Champagne”. Lunch at one of the many classic, award-winning restaurants in the area. Natural and historic heritage abounds in this area and your tour may take in sights like the Afrikaans Language Monument with its panoramic Boland views. Idyllic Franschhoek, nestled in a valley settled by French Huguenots in 1688, is a delight for both antique lovers and gastronomes alike. Stellenbosch, South Africa’s second-oldest town, provides another glimpse of classic 17th century Cape style, with a chance to browse quaint Dorp Street and the many museums, galleries and shops of this lovely university town. After the experience you will be dropped off at The Silo.

Full Day Cape Point Cycle & Winelands Adventure

This is the perfect way to combine some moderate physical activity with seeing the sights around the Cape Peninsula. Enjoy a peaceful cycle through the unique fynbos vegetation of the Cape Point Nature Reserve, visit the breeding colony of rare African Penguins at Boulders Beach and relax at a scenic picnic lunch spot. Before returning to Cape Town you tour the historic Constantia Winelands which includes wine tastings at two premier estates.

Routings and departure times from lodges may vary depending on actual lodge and guest requirements as well as landing conditions. Times subject to change. Luggage restriction is 20 kgs (44 lbs) per person in soft bags.

Day 9 – Day 12

Spend 3 nights at Singita Lebombo Lodge in the Two Bedroom Villa with en suite facilities on a full board basis including accommodation, private host, chef & butler, drinks (excluding French Champagne), private daily activities, wi-fi, laundry and return Satara airstrip transfers. Activities include two open Land Rover safaris per day, archery, and walking safaris.
