Day 1: Dawei

Upon arrival to Dawei airport meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After freshening up we start our town sightseeing. Dawei (formerly known as Tavoy) is the capital of Tanintharyi, the southernmost region of Myanmar. Along with other major towns of old Burma' south, it was one of the first places where the British settled after the conquest of the 1st Anglo-Burmese war in 1826. Many beautiful teakwood mansions from the colonial era are still standing, adding to a charm of this provincial center. During the day the guide will show you around to get a picture of Dawei’s daily life and famous sights.

Time permitting we go for a stroll along Dawei’s colorful and busy riverfront. Fishing industry is a major source of income for the locals. On the market you can find anything from fresh day's catch to dried fish as well as local delicacies - smelly fish and shrimp paste much loved by Myanmar people. Overnight in Dawei.

Day 2: Sin Htauk Beach

Wake up early today if you would like to take a brief stroll along town's main market. After breakfast we drive for 45 minutes to San Hlan village on the shore of Dawei peninsula. It is the largest and busiest fishing community in the area.

Dawei Princess boat leaves from San Hlan at 9:00 a.m., cruise for one hour to a small island Pazin Kyun for snorkeling. Lunch will be served on the boat. After 1,5 hrs of cruising further south, we arrive to Grandfather/Wemakai beach where you can enjoy more of swimming, walking and kayaking. With lines of casuarina trees in the back and entrance to a calm turquoise water lagoon it is a prefect place for a lazy afternoon walk.

Sin Htauk beach is only a short walking distance away, you would stay here for the next two nights, while the boat returns to Dawei with the last rays of sunlight. Sin Htauk bungalows are so far the only property in the vicinity and whole area feels like a huge private retreat.

Day 3: Sin Htauk Beach

Leisure time at Sin Htauk. You may choose to swim or snorkel by the corals near the bay or just relax under the shady trees behind beach bungalows. Spend the day enjoying beautiful white sand beach, swimming in azure waters of the sheltered 1,5 km long bay.

If you are up for some active adventures, you can to hike to nearby hills covered in lush tropical forest, explore large tidal lagoon behind the beach, walking along mangrove paths, or do a boat trip to remote wild beaches, only accessible from water.

In the evening enjoy spectacular sunset from the porch overlooking the sea.

Day 4: Sat San Aww Beach (Paradise Beach)

Leisure time in the early morning, then we transfer you to Myanmar Paradise Beach Bungalows. Along the road we pass rice fields, groves and small villages until arriving at a typical fishing village  from where we can hike up for half an hour to a local replica of the famed Golden Rock Pagoda. The panoramic view opening from the top is simply breathtaking, one of the best in the whole Myanmar's South - marvel at the huge Grandfather/Wemakai beach perspective opening below, with layers of hills, lagoon and white sand beaches.

Lunch can be served in a traditional and clean restaurant in a village by the foot of a hill.

In the early afternoon a short drive further south followed by another twenty minutes across the jungle covered hill and we finally arrive at Sat San Aww Beach where Myanmar Paradise Beach Bungalows is located. Rest of the day free at leisure.

Further ten minutes up and down the hills is the northern tip of the huge Grandfather beach - spanning a few kilometers in length it is the most impressive beach on the peninsula and arguably of the whole mainland Taninhtaryi region. Spend some time here walking along the coast and swimming.

In the afternoon we can drive south to another beautiful beach by the Horse Shoe Bay. Continue along the coastal cliff road towards Shin Maw Pagoda surrounded by lush evergreen forest to watch magnificent sunset from the viewpoint at the southernmost tip of peninsula. Before the sun settles completely, return to your bungalow for overnight.
