Day 1: Windhoek

When you arrive at Windhoek you will be met and then transferred to the Lodge in Windhoek - the journey is about 40km's as the airport is a long way out. It has a great view over Windhoek and some nice restaurants nearby for a good dinner.

Day 2: Sesriem

After a good breakfast at the Lodge we will set off for Sessriem which is right at the gate for the entry to the Namib Naukluft National Park. The road here is for the most part like most roads in Namibia on good quality dirt roads and there are a number of options available to us and always time to stop and take pictures along the way. When we get here and have settled into the lodge we might go into the park and go and take a walk along the Sesriem Canyon.

Day 4: Walvis Bay

Our journey today will take us through to Walvis Bay and again we have many road options available but we will always try and keep off the main routes and enjoy the back roads through to Walvis Bay. After settling into the Loge we can then go for a walk or drive along the sea front and have a look at the Flamingo's, wading birds and amazing salt works.

Day 5: Walvis Bay

After breakfast we will be collected and taken around the Lagoon to launch our kayaks. This is an amazing activity where you can paddle very close to the Cape Fur Seal colony and you become of real interest to them with many coming up very close to the kayaks and taking a look or chewing your paddle. We get back to the Loge for lunch and then for the afternoon we can work out what will be best to do when we are there.

Day 6: Twyfelfontein

We leave Sossusvlei and head north via Swakopmund to Twylfontein on the dge of the Damaraland. Along the way we have some really interesting things to look at like the amazing fields of desert lichens, unique to the Namib Desert. When we get to the Lodge we will be able to settle in and go and check out some of the amazing rock etchings and geology.

Day 7: Palmwag

A beautiful drive today deeper into the Damaraland with its amazing geology on display, when we get to the Palmwag concession and lodge we can settle in - have some lunch and then head out to start exploring this amazing place.

Day 8: Palmwag

We will set off this morning with a packed lunch and spend the whole day out in the concession area - it is amazing for an area that appears so barren to support such a variety of wildlife which includes the largest population of free ranging black rhino.

Day 9: Etosha South

We keep heading North today and enter Namibia's flagship National Park Etosha. Okuakuejo is in the heart of the park and is the main headquarters. Its an excellent game viewing area and we will pick a route through the vast open grassland areas and various waterholes. At night there is a flood lit waterhole that attracts a range of nocturnal animals that makes it an interesting place to sit and watch quietly after dinner.

Day 10: Etosha South

Depending on conditions on the ground when we are there we will choose a route around the area to get the best from this excellent game viewing area of Etosha.

We might go with packed lunch or come back to the resort, keeping flexible on plans is key.

Day 11: Etosha East

Today we go further East across the park and its interesting watching the vegetation change as we move further East across the park. The plan would be to reach Namutoni for lunch so we can settle in and then get ready for an afternoon game viewing around here. The same applies at night time with a flood lit water hole to sit and watch.

Day 12: Etosha East

We will set off early in the morning and continue enjoying the game viewing around Namutoni before moving Northwards to the beautiful Onkoshi Camp. This camp is set right on the edge of the actual Etosha Pan - so you get a real feeling of the size of it. A great location and way of ending your safari in Namibia.

Day 13: End of Itinerary

This morning we will have a game drive transfer back to Namutoni where we will get a charter flight that will take us back to Windhoek which will give you the opportunity to see this amazing country from the air. It will be timed to suit International Flights.
