Day 1: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Day 1

Zimbabwe offers the visitor a host of natural wonders, one of which is the legendary Victoria Falls. Mosi-Oa-Tunya- the smoke that thunders, stretches over 1.5 km as it plunges over 100m into the Zambezi gorge below. When David Livingstone saw the Falls for the first time in 1855, he wrote “Scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight” and today visitors can take the Flight of Angels, a helicopter or light aircraft flight over the Falls which gives you the ultimate view of this magnificent wonder.

VICTORIA FALLS SAFARI LODGE

Set high on a natural plateau, the westward facing Victoria Falls Safari Lodge borders the Zambezi National Park & is just four kilometers from the thundering Victoria Falls, Southern Africa's foremost attraction. Enjoying uninterrupted views of spectacular African sunsets and year-round game at its on-site waterhole, accommodation at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is ideally positioned to offer the most discerning traveler a taste of Africa at its best.

This afternoon take a Sunset cruise on the Zambezi. Sip on your favorite sundowner as you cruise down the mighty Zambezi, spotting a variety of birds and wildlife in and around the flowing water.
