Rather than end your honeymoon with the safari, why not head to one of Tanzania's most glorious beaches and, in our opinion, romantic hide-aways. You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro Airport by a driver/guide and transfer back to Arusha Airport to catch a scheduled flight south to Pemba, via Zanzibar. On arrival a representative from Fundu Lagoon will pick you and transfer you by road or waves back to the hotel.
You will spend five nights at the Fundu Lagoon on fully inclusive basis.
Fundu Lagoon has everything you need to enjoy the Indian Ocean, from wake-boarding to windsurfing, kayaking or simply strolling along the peaceful shoreline where it is lovely to watch the Mamas and totos collecting clams or just passing by...if you are lucky, you might see the local fishermen bringing in their daily catch. A short boat trip away and inside the protected marine conservation area are the breathtaking beaches of Misali Island. The only disturbance to these white sand beaches is by green and hawksbill turtles. It is an idyllic and relaxing day out with palm trees fringing the white sands and offering shady picnic spots. The warm turquoise shallows are ideal for snorkelling amongst the brightly coloured reef fish.
Transfer by road from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha airport.
Scheduled return flight Arusha to Pemba on Coastal Aviation.
Return airport transfers in Pemba using the resort's vehicle.
