After early breakfast climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site) which is known as the 8th wonder of the world. This rock fortress was built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century A.D. and was a royal citadel for more than 18 years. In a sheltered a pocket, approached by a spiral stairway, are the famous frescoes. The summit of the rock, with an area of nearly one hectare was the site of the palace and the outer wall was built on the very brink of the precipice. The UNESCO sponsored Central Cultural Fund has restored Sigiriya 5th century water gardens to their former glory.

Afternoon, set on an exclusive jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park to witness the unique phenomenon of elephant gathering. During the dry season, from June to September, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank for water. Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted in one place, anywhere else in the world! **Depending on the elephant migration patterns, the safari will be done in Minneriy or Kaudualla or Eco Park**

Hike Pidurangala Rock for sunrise - Proceed to Pidurangala early morning and climb to the top of the rock to view the sunrise (If time permits)

Starting at the train station, the walk to Demodara is very doable and very easy. It is one of the shortest stages of The Pekoe Trail and one of the most popular ones.
