Day 1: Entebbe

On arrival into Entebbe Airport you will be met and transferred by road to the Karibu Guesthouse.

Day 2: Entebbe

Today you will be taken to Kampala to explore the art galleries in the area.

Return to Entebbe where you will spend your second night at Karibu.

Day 3: Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a leisurely morning, you will be transferred  to the Entebbe International Airport at approximately 10h45 for your Scheduled Light Aircraft Flight departing at 12h30 for the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will be given a packed lunch to enjoy enroute. 

Upon arrival at the Mweya Airfield at approximately 13h50, you will be met by your private driver / guide who will take you on a game drive through the  Queen Elizabeth National Park.  As the sun sets, we will arrive at the Kyambura Gorge Lodge.  

NOTE: On all services the luggage allowance is 15 kilos in soft bags. These allowances shall include all hand baggage. The carriage of excess baggage is at the sole discretion of the company after taking into consideration the number of passengers booked. When excess baggage is carried it will be charged at the prevailing freight charges.

Day 4: Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy game drives in the prime game viewing area of Western Uganda. A network of tracks enables you to find elephants, buffalo and other animals in the grassland thickets that cover the North Kazinga area near the Mweya Peninsula. However lions are most reliably sighted on the typical open East Africa Savannah Kasenyi Plain - East of the Kasese/Mbarara Highway. This area is known as the main breeding ground of the Uganda Kobs on which the prides of lion prey.

Game drives in this area are most rewarding in early morning and late afternoons. Besides Game-Driving – the other main attraction of the Northern Sector is the Kazinga Channel. The 32 Km long Kazinga Channel is a dominant feature of the Queen Elizabeth National Park and links Lake George with Lake Edward. The channel attracts a varied range of animals and birds and one of the world’s
largest concentrations of hippos year round. 

At 14h30 you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. After the boat cruise you will enjoy another Game Drive before enroute back to Kyambura Gorge Lodge.

Day 5: Ndali Kasenda Crater Lakes

After a morning game drive in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will depart the Kyambura Gorge Lodge (after lunch) via the Equator to Kasese and further onto the Ndali Lodge.

You will arrive at the Ndali Lodge by mid-afternoon. Enjoy a dip in Ndali Lodge’s swimming pool or venture on a guided walk around the rim of the volcanic Crater Lake in front of the lodge.

DISTANCE: 110 KMS – APPROXIMATE DRIVING TIME: 2-3 HOURS

Day 6: Ndali Kasenda Crater Lakes

Today you will depart the lodge and drive to the Kibale Forest (approx 1 hour) where you will participate in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary Community Walk. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is situated just outside the park in Magombe Swamp. The sanctuary is a community-run initiative aimed at conserving the unique biodiversity and environmental values of the wetland.

After your Community Based Guided Tour, you will have lunch. Afternoon - the forest opens its doors for a sensational Chimpanzee Track (Permits @ USD 200.00 / included in your quote). The Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa Spending 01 Hour with the chimps will enable you to learn about their lifestyle and to discover the mysteries of their existence.

By late afternoon you will get back out of the forest and return to the Ndali Lodge.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Kasese Airfield for your Scheduled Light Aircraft Flight departing at approximately 08h30 to Kihihi.  The drive time from Ndali to Kasese is 50km and can take 1 to 2 hours depending on traffic / road conditions.

Upon arrival at the Kihihi Airfield at approximately 0855, you will be met and transferred (Private Lodge 4WD Transfer) to the Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge – where you will arrive mid/late morning.

DISTANCE: 40 KMS – APPROXIMATE DRIVING TIME: 1 HOUR

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast you will undertake one of the best guided walks in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – namely the Waterfall Trail. It is a 2-3 Hours Scenic Walk that follows the Munyanga River through one of Uganda’s most pristine tracts of rainforest – passing beneath tree ferns and orchids and with chances of seeing monkeys – and ending at a 33 meters high waterfall. After your walk, you will return to the Bwindi Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Gorilla Track (USD 700.00 Per Person Per Gorilla Tracking Permit *** Permit included in your quote) in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Buhoma). Gorilla Tracking is a captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi and to trek through the forest. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of the Gentle Giants of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park surely is the most exciting and poignant wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. You will have exactly 1 hour with the gorillas.

Return to Bwindi Lodge after your trek. 

DISTANCE: 50 KMS (EACH WAY) – APPROXIMATE DRIVING TIME: 1-1,15 HOUR (EACH WAY)

Day 10: Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will depart the Northern Sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park via an 80 Kms dirt road (1,5-2 hours – depending on road conditions) towards the Congolese border town of Ishasha.

Upon arrival in the Ishasha Sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park - well known for its tree-climbing lion population – enjoy a game drive enroute to the Ishasha Wilderness Camp for lunch.

Later in the day you will head out on another Game Drive on the Ishasha Plains. Return to the Ishasha Wilderness Camp as the sun sets.

Day 11: Entebbe

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Kihihi Airstrip for your Scheduled Light Aircraft Flight departing at approximately 08h55 back to Entebbe International Airport.

Depending on your departure time, I can arrange for Amethyst, Corey and Wesley to enjoy some lunch in Entebbe before being transferred back to the airport for your international departures.

Bill and Barbara will be transferred to Hotel No 5 where you will overnight.

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Bill and Barbara will be transferred by road to the Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Flight included in the quote but subject to change.
