Day 3 (17 Jan): Excursion to Omorate and visit Dassanech tribe, ‘people of the Delta’, lives on the northern shore of Lake Turkana. If the day is lucky you will attend a Bull Jumping ceremony

Day 4 (18 Jan): Drive back to Jinka and visit Dimeka market (Tuesday and Saturday Market) afternoon visit the Ari village or you will have a time to visit museum in town

Day 5 (19 Jan): Early in the morning start your drive to Mago National park to visit the Mursi tribes (women like to wear terra cotta on their enormously stretched lower lips) and later transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis

Day 8 (22 Jan): Visit the extraordinary Gheralta rock-hewn churches Mariyam Qorqur or Daneil Church or climb up to Abuna Yemata Guh, then enjoy the scenic landscape in the afternoon

Day 9 (23 Jan): Drive from Gheralta to Axum, en-route visiting the 500 BC temple of Yeha. In the afternoon sightseeing in Axum including the stealefield, Tsion Maryam Church, the ruins of the palace that might have been the Queen of Sheba’s, and the museum.
Day 10 (24 Jan): Drive from Axum to the Simien Mountains National Park with viewpoints of the peaks and the Tekeze River Valley, then explore the park either on foot or in the car as you prefer.
Day 11 (25 Jan): Explore the park, walking or driving as you wish, including an optional trek from Sanqaber to Jinbar Falls, with a high chance of seeing the famous Gelada baboons
Day 12 (26 Jan): Drive from Simien Mountains to Gondar on the way visiting the old Felasha village and afternoon visit the Fasiledes castle and Debere birehan sellase Church
