AMAZING LAPLAND - Rovaniemi, Kemi & Pyhä - 6 Days

Welcome to Rovaniemi and arctic circle!

Transfer to your hotel in Rovaniemi and visit some of the local highlights: Santa village in the heart of Rovaniemi where Santa works and  where you can  cross the arctic cirle. Next proceed to Arcticum museum showcasing  arctic nature, wildlife and sami culture. This evening acclimatise and enjoy Finnish sauna or head to one of the local restaurants to try Lappish specialties menu.  

Breakfast at your hotel and pick up for a drive to Kemi (2hrs).  In Kemi you have the opportunity to join once in a lifetime experience cruising with ice breaker and floating in broken icy water in dry suit with plenty of warm clothes to keep you warm.  After your icy sea adventure and visit to snow castle of Kemi it is time to drive to Ranua where you spend the night Rovaniemi in the afternoon. 

In remotest Scandinavia, huskies aren't just man's best friend— they also provide a vital form of transport. Your first stop today is a Husky Farm, where you can learn all about these beautiful dogs, then hop on board a dog sled for a short ride through the forest.

In the afternoon, take a trip to Ranua, the northernmost zoo in the world. Here you can admire Arctic wildlife like polar bears, elk, wolverines, and arctic foxes in their natural settings.

If the weather looks promising, bundle up warm, grab your camera, and join a Northern Lights Chase this evening. This guided excursion takes you to the area's prime aurora borealis viewing spots in search of the breathtaking natural phenomenon.

Private transfer 1,5hrs to Pyhä-Luosto National Park oldest protected forest in Finland with dramatic canyons and beautiful fells Pyhä and Luosto. On the way to Pyhä we stop at Luosto and take pendolino  snow cat up to Amethyst mine on top of the fell and learn how these semi prescious stones are mined. In the afternoon we continue with short drive to Pyhä and our comfortable resort. 

This evening enjoy degustation menu prepared by one of the best chefs in Finland. Option to taste best Finnish gins that are collecting international awards. 

Breakfast at your cozy lodge and time for some great nature explorations. We have a range of nature friendly activities available for you.

All good comes to an end. Breakfast at your lodge and time permitting you may do ice fishing, cross country skiing or other activities near your lodge before transfer to Rovaniemi airport.
