Day 2: Cape Town

Thu. 2 Aug 2018

During your time in Cape Town you will have access to a private vehicle driven by one of our registered photographic tour guides for use during the day. You are free to chose wherever you would like to go on each day and your guide will be able to advise you on when to go to each location to make the most of your time in The Mother City. Whether you fancy a trip to the Winelands or perhaps a visit to Cape Point and the penguins of Boulders Beach everything is possible. If there are certain shots you are after then we can start as early as you like or finish after sunset each day.

Suggestion for today would be a visit to Table Mountain followed by a tour of the city, including the colourful Bokaap, the Cape Town castle, perhaps a walk through the market and Camps Bay beach.

Day 3: Cape Town

Fri. 3 Aug 2018

Your guide will pick you up for a full day private tour of the Cape Peninsular. This is an awe-inspiring tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. Magnificent beaches, breathtaking views and picturesque coastal villages are to be seen along the way. Visit the penguins on Boulders Beach, and if weather allows, you could even swim with them. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world’s most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point.

Day 6: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Mon. 6 Aug 2018

The Victoria Falls possesses a beauty that is impossible to replicate through any man-made efforts, and a trip to Southern Africa would not be complete without seeing it. It is a natural wonder of the world, created by nature to remind us of just how powerful and complex she is. A guided tour of the falls enables you to delve into the local customs and traditions while gaining insight into how such an exquisite creation came to be.

The Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage has been a safe haven to a mirage of orphaned and injured elephants since its conception in 1992. Whilst hand rearing these orphans we have come to understand that the best way to appreciate these magnificent creatures is to watch them living wildly and freely, and The Elephant Encounter will give guests the opportunity to unobtrusively interact with some of the biggest personalities in Africa, in a pristine environment overflowing with raw natural beauty.

Day 7: Kasane

After breakfast you are transferred across the border to Botswana. Here you stay at the Pangolin Chobe Lodge with all meals, local beverages and safari activities included.

Day 8: Kasane

Wed. 8 Aug 2018

The Chobe National Park is probably one of the best reserves in Africa for wildlife photography. Not only can we enjoy our photography from land and water, but the animals tend to be far more relaxed in the Chobe and many other places.

The Pangolin Chobe Lodge will, of course, offer our signature activities on the photo boat, and our selection of custom-built vehicles including the mighty Unimog. Each of the eight seats rotate a full 360 degrees and the mounting, designed and built by us, is based on a lightweight machine gun mounting used by the South African army. The mounting design is so simple and effective that guests will master its movement in no time at all. Clients travelling with their own lenses simply attach one of our base plates to their lens collar and they are ready to go. Simple and photography friendly!
