Day 1 – Arrival in Windhoek
Upon arrival, you are warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to Windhoek. Your elegant hotel offers a swimming pool and wellness area, perfect for relaxing after your flight. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour before heading to the Sky Bar for a sundowner drink and panoramic views over Klein Windhoek. Dinner follows at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 2 – Into the Kalahari Desert
After breakfast, journey south via Rehoboth and Kalkrand into the red-sand landscapes of the Kalahari. Your tented lodge is perched on a high dune overlooking an expansive clay pan. In the late afternoon, set off on a sundowner nature drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, exploring the rolling dunes and spotting oryx, springbok, and other desert-adapted wildlife.

Day 3 – To the Fish River Canyon
Travel through semi-arid country dotted with quiver trees – a species once used by the San people to make arrow quivers. Visit the Quiver Tree Forest and the fascinating “Giant’s Playground,” a field of ancient dolerite boulders shaped by time into fantastic formations. Hidden between granite boulders, your stone-built chalets at Canyon Lodge offer a unique and atmospheric stay.

Day 4 – Fish River Canyon and Onward to Aus
This morning, visit the awe-inspiring Fish River Canyon – the second largest in the world. Stretching 160 kilometres in length and up to 550 metres deep, the canyon winds through stark rock formations towards the Orange River. Continue west to Aus, where your lodge sits at the foot of the Aus Mountains. Built in the style of an old farmhouse, it exudes tranquillity and offers sweeping views across the desert plains.

Day 5 – Day Excursion to Lüderitz
Drive west to the historic coastal town of Lüderitz, once a centre of the diamond trade. En route, stop at the ghost town of Kolmanskop, where wind-blown sand fills the abandoned houses. In Lüderitz, visit the Great Bay and Diaz Point, before returning to Aus. Along the way, look out for the famous wild horses of Garub – a symbol of Namibia’s desert freedom.

Day 6 – To Sesriem / Sossusvlei
Today’s drive takes you north along the edge of the Namib Desert, through one of Namibia’s most striking and open landscapes. The Little Sossus Lodge offers wide views of the plains and mountains, perfectly framing the beauty of the Namib. Optional sundowner drives are available in the late afternoon.

Day 7 – Sossusvlei and Deadvlei
An early start brings you into the Namib-Naukluft Park to witness the sunrise over the world’s highest dunes. The soft morning light bathes the sands in golden and red hues, their sharp crests casting deep shadows. A short walk leads to Deadvlei, where ancient camelthorn trees stand as haunting sculptures. Visit Sesriem Canyon on your way back to the lodge and enjoy a relaxed afternoon.

Day 8 – To Swakopmund
Journey northwards via Solitaire, where a stop for the famous apple pie is a must. Cross the central Namib Desert, keeping an eye out for ostriches, zebras, oryx and springboks. Arrive at the coastal town of Swakopmund – a delightful mix of sea breeze, German colonial architecture, and African charm. Dinner is arranged at a local restaurant overlooking the ocean.

Day 9 – Swakopmund and Walvis Bay

Day 11 – To Twyfelfontein

Day 12 – Desert-Adapted Elephants of Damaraland

Day 13 – Through Damaraland
Continue via Khorixas, stopping to visit the Petrified Forest — a collection of 280-million-year-old fossilised tree trunks. Your destination, Huab Lodge, lies peacefully on the banks of the dry Huab River. The lodge features natural hot springs and comfortable bungalows with beautiful views over the valley – the perfect place to unwind.

Day 15 – Across Eastern Etosha
