Day 2

Aitutaki

Day notes

Aitutaki is the perfect oasis for romance! And we guarantee that it will be just as you imagined. One of the world's most beautiful lagoon is right here in Aitutaki.  The lagoon is huge and a beautiful turquoise in colour. The motu (islets) and the emerald green main island provide a perfect contrast. When people want to fulfill their bucket list in the South Pacific, they are usually referring to Aitutak - a 'sandbars heaven’.

Day 3

Aitutaki

Day notes

Aitukai is full of romantic ambiance and privacy. Here, you can enjoy your own private villa or buri. These tropical havens are  spaced out along the landscape away from each other. Enjoy each day as you wake up to your own private sundeck, surrounded by a triangular reef. Perhaps this is the day you can explore the reef and its massive coral heads. The coral here is home to a huge variety of vibrant coloured tropical marine life. This fact alone, is what makes Aitutaki so perfect for water activities. But the allure of Aitutaki doesn’t stop at the water’s edge.

Day 4

Aitutaki

Day notes

Aitutakians say they are descended from Ru, the famous seafaring warrior who sailed from Avaiki, the legendary homeland of early Polynesians. Local guides will speak of the fascinating legends and will guide you to some of the islands marae (sacred ceremonial grounds). This is where volcanic boulders were erected in distinct formations by early Aitutaki forefathers. The largest marae, measuring about 1.6 hectares, is Te Poaki o Rae.
