Day 2: Olinda

On this tour, you'll have the best of Recife and Olinda at the same time.

At the beginning a panoramic tour along the Boa Viagem waterfront, one of the most famous city beaches in Brazil.

Then you stop at Espaço Catamaran, where you can do a wonderful catamaran tour (optional. Passengers who do not get the ride continue to Marco Zero seat in the vehicle.) Through our Brazilian Venice. During the water tour, visitors can enjoy beautiful landscapes of the City of Waters, starting with the Pina Basin, past the Porto Wall, the Capibaribe Estuary, Port Basin, Francisco Brennand Sculpture Park, zero of our city, the square of zero.

From Marco Zero Square, walk along Rua do Bom Jesus (former Jewish street), where the Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue and the Olinda Giant Dolls Embassy (tickets not included) are, as well as the Open Sky Museum.

Then a panoramic tour of Recife including the three islands (Recife, Santo Antônio and Boa Vista), the Maurício de Nassau Bridge, Republic Square (where the Government Palace, Santa Isabel Theater and Palácio da Justice) and stop at the House of Culture , a beautiful building that was built as an internment camp in the mid-19th century. Today it presents itself as a representative center of regional culture, with shops selling handicrafts and typical foods.

In Olinda we will take a tour to visit the Alto da Sé, with the churches of Sé and Misericórdia, from where you can see the most beautiful view of the cities of Recife and Olinda, which Unesco considers natural and cultural heritage of humanity.

Day 3: Maragogi

Around 9 a.m. you will be picked up by your tour guide at the hotel in Olinda and taken to the rental station in Recife. Pick up the vehicle and drive to Maragogi city by rental car. At Carneiros Beach, a beautiful beach in Brazil, we recommend a stopover with lunch. Then continue to your hotel in Maragogi via Sao Miguel dos Milagres.

Day 4: Maragogi

You have a full day at leisure in Maragogi to explore the region's beaches, snorkel and explore the natural pools created by the expansion of the coral reef in the region. In the afternoon we recommend a guided excursion (bookable on site) from Maragogi to the “Manatees” (round-tailed cows) on Tatuamanha Beach. The approximately 2-hour tour begins with a hike through the mangroves down to the river, from where you go by boat in search of the manatees. This large mammal is critically endangered.

Day 5: Maceio

Start the drive from Maragogi to Maceio in the morning, where you will pass many beautiful beaches. The fishing village of Porto da Rua, which is also on the way, has two bars that offer great snacks and caipirinha. In Do Toque you will find peace and quiet and natural pools. Stop for lunch in Barra de Santo Antonio Beach and try the cassava dumplings with prawns.

Day 6: Maceio

Today is free during your vacation in Brazil in Maceio. We recommend a visit to the "Vila Palateia oyster farm" or a relaxed raft tour to the natural pools in the area (both can be booked on site). The 3-hour excursion to the oyster farm first takes you to the “Lagoa do Roteiro” mangrove reserve, from where you will travel with local fishermen in wooden canoes over canals to the island of “Ilha do Meio”. Here you can taste the oysters and learn about the cultivation process. On the 3-hour tour to the natural pools, you travel in small fishing boats through the coral reefs of Pajuçaras Beach, where you have the opportunity to swim in calm waters that are like natural pools in the middle of the sea.

Day 7: Penedo

Today we leave the hotel around 10 a.m. and spend the afternoon in the village of Piaçabuçu. From here you can take a boat trip on the Rio São Francisco or alternatively the trip to the dunes of São Francisco (first in a buggy then on foot). Start the boat trip after which you have an hour of relaxation on the beach. Around 5 p.m. you should drive to the dunes to enjoy the sunset over the river.

Day 8: Mangue Seco

Today's drive through Brazil to Mangue Seco is long and exhausting. We therefore recommend that you have lunch in the “Forte de Rocheira” restaurant before you leave. You cross the river from Penedo to Neopolis by boat and then drive by car along the BR 101 to the village of Pontal. From here you take the boat to Mangue Seco, on the Rio Real delta. Be sure to wear your mosquito repellent as these are teeming with.

Day 9: Praia do Forte

In the morning you can go on a buggy tour through the dunes of Mangue Seco or take a boat tour to the half-finished island "Ilha da Sorga" on the Rio Real (bookable on site, depending on the tide). Then you drive on, through a beautiful landscape, to Praia do Forte. Here we recommend that you take a tuk tuk into the village to take a walk by the sea before dinner and visit the headquarters of the Tamar turtle project. With a little luck, you might witness the birth of baby turtles and their release into the sea (usually at dawn and dusk).

Day 10: Praia do Forte

Today is at your disposal in Praia do Forte. Relax in the hotel resort, explore the old fishing village or swim in the natural pools. Those who want more adventure can take part in a quad tour through the Sapiranga reserve or a canoe trip on the Rio Pojuca (bookable on site).

Today you can enjoy the whole day in Praia do Forte at the resort by the sea before taking the short route to Salvador da Bahia. Once there, enter the rental car at the airport and take a taxi to your hotel.

Day 13: End of Itinerary

After amazing impressions of one of the truly most beautiful and spirited countries on earth, take your flight home from Salvador to Europe today, if you end your individual Brazil trip at this point. Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport in Salvador da Bahia. Certainly your eyes will close on the return flight, but maybe you use the time to look at the many vacation photos on the plane and review unforgettable days in Brazil!
