10 Nights Classic Namibia Self Drive

Day 1: Windhoek

You will arrive at the international airport  Hosea Kutako. An  African Footprints Tours Cc representative will be welcoming you and will give you all the required documentation for your trip, and will also assist you with the handover of your car.

Day 2: Sossusvlei

The tour will start heading towards south-west to reach the Namib desert. Its dunes, the tallest in the world, at sunrise they turn into a breathtaking kaleidoscope of shapes and colours. 

Day 3: Sossusvlei

You will wake up at dawn to visit the tallest dunes in the world. At sunrise they take on magic colors. In the afternoon, if you want to, you will have the possibility to join the several activities offered by the lodge .

Day 4: Swakopmund

Today you will arrive at Swakopmund, a coastal town founded by German coloners in 1892. With its relaxing and cozy vibe, the town has been established as the main holiday destination of the country. The streets are still named after its historic heritage.  Its most remarkabe buildings are Woermann House, the old train station, The Law Court.

Day 5: Swakopmund

Today you will be either relaxing on the beach, explore the town, or just simply enjoy some fun activities, as Swakopmund is popular for its varied range of options:  skydiving, sandboarding, quadbiking, horseriding in the desert, airbaloon trips, scenic flights! There is plenty of choice! 

Day 6: Twyfelfontein

Today you will visit  Twyfelfontein,  the historic and important Unesco world heritage site , where you will admire the old bushmen artrock.  The burnt Mountain, the Organ Pipes and the Petrified Forest are some other sites that you can visit. 

Day 7: South Etosha

You will drive through Khorixas and Outjo to reach the Anderson Gate of Etosha National Park, where you will start your adventure in this animal world.  

Day 8: South Etosha

You will leave early in the morning to visit Etosha National Park.  You will stop by the several waterholes that give relief to  thirsty animals. You will be amazed at the beauty and the magic of this wonderful park. 

Day 9: Est Etosha

You will spend some more time to watch the abundant game and wildlife populating Etosha National Park. You will head towards east to exit from  Von Lindequist Gate.  You will notice how dramatic is the transformation of the landscape during this transfer.

Day 10: Otjiwarongo

Today you will leave Etosha Park and you will move south, driving by Tsumeb and Otjiwarogno to reach this private reserve where you will be accomodated for the night. 

Day 11: End of Itinerary

Transfer to the airport on time for your return flight.
