Arrive at Zanzibar International Airport. Meet & Greet and transfer to Nungwi Beach. Nungwi Beach is located on the northernmost tip of Zanzibar Island and is a traditional fishing village with a reputation for its dhow building activities. Overnight at Mnarani Beach Cottages.

Swimming with Turtles – in the north of Zanzibar, you can find one of the natural lagoon full of sea turtles. In Baraka Aquarium they are buying the turtles, caught by fishermen and they are releasing them back to the fresh ocean water in the lagoon.
Use the unique opportunity to swim with sea turtles. During the visit you can also feed turtles with sea weed or just spend your time in the water. Also, you can take snorkeling mask to dive and watch them in their natural environment.

 

Nungwi Sunset Cruise – evening pickup for a Sunset Cruise along the west of Nungwi Beach to experience one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world – the sky turns pink and gold as the sun sinks over the Indian Ocean, while dancing to traditional music and the beat of drums while cruising.

Stone Town Historical Walking Tour - enjoy a walking tour in the World Heritage Site of Zanzibar’s ancient town. You will visit different historical sites, the bustling market, the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum and the site of the former slave market at the Anglican Cathedral Church. Enjoy the walking through the narrow streets to explore the curved Zanzibar doors and different fascinating building architectures. Shopping is among the highlights of the tour, from a number of bazaars you can shop – from clothes materials, carvings, paintings to expensive jewelry. Also, you can enjoy varieties of foods and drinks from different restaurants at your own cost.

Spice Tour - Zanzibar was known as a spice Island, exporting cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, and cardamom across the world. The spices were brought from Asia and South America and flourished in the tropical climate. Nowadays the spice tour is one of the most popular excursions on the island. Walk through the spice plantation with your guide – touch, smell and taste different spices and try to guess which is which, from the crushed leaves, barks, roots and vines and creepers crawling up the trees. Learn about their properties, their origins and their use as medicines and in foods and drinks. Depending on the season you are visiting, you can find anything from vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, lemon grass, cloves, ginger, coriander, pepper, allspice, chili, curry lives and more! Seasonal tropical fruits include banana, pineapple, jackfruit, custard fruit, oranges, star fruit, tangerine, passion fruit, mango, avocado, rambutan, papaya, and many others.

Safari Blue is a full day excursion on traditional sailing dhows. The trip starts from the fishing village of Fumba, on the southwest corner of the Island, 30 minutes’ drive from Stone Town. Fumba is part of the Menai Bay conservation area since 1998. The bay has a number of beautiful uninhabited islands and sandbanks. We board the dhows and set off to explore the bay, later we drop anchor by a sandbank where beginners or less confident swimmers can enjoy the Indian Ocean while enjoying tropical fruits, soft drinks, and sunbathing. The next stop is snorkeling in beautiful corals where you can see different colorful tropical fishes, with the help of life jackets and a guide for beginners or less confident swimmers. On Kwale Island a traditional seafood buffet lunch will be served and it includes grilled fish, slipper lobster, calamari, prawns, French Fries, rice, and vegetable sauces – all served hot from the grill. A visit to the beautiful mangrove lagoon to swim through a mangrove forest (tide-permitting). We will return to main Island by sail if the weather allows.
