Arrive, meet and greet at the airport, a short road transfer to the Winelands where we will check in and relax. This evening dinner is your own plan and for those who are tired from long travels, and early night.
After breakfast, we go on a guided Route recce run this morning. We explore part of the route to give runners a chance to check it out and get a feel of the terrain, the route, and the area. Afternoon at leisure. This evening we have a welcome dinner for all at a local restaurant where we can taste fine wines and eat awesome South African cuisine.
Today we head to Cape Town after a quick breakfast, to visit the legendary Table Mountain and Cape Point too. This will be a spectacular day to kick back and enjoy the amazing scenery of the Cape of Good Hope. Dinner on your own choice in the village of Franschhoek tonight.

Early start and we transfer to Aquila for a day trip Safari. This is a bucket list opportunity to see the Big Five. Includes a Safari drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, fully guided by safari rangers and lunch on site at the lodge after.
Today is Registration, and an optional light flush out recce walk/run for those who feel like it. Easy day to kick back and do nothing or your own activities.
From 12.30pm to 6.30pm: Bib number and welcome pack collection in Stellenbosch. Don’t forget your proof of ID (ID card/passport or membership photo card) and your bag containing the compulsory equipment.
For those racing , this afternoon and evening is focus time...
Make sure you do not spend too much time on your feet today. Tomorrow will be many hours on those feet.
Race Day. Early start, shuttle to race village and the start line check in. Big day of running...Enjoy!

Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve is part of the UNESCO declared Cape Winelands Biosphere Reserve. Situated in the Franschhoek Mountains, the reserve offers spectacular views of the Franschhoek Valley, diverse plant life and over 30km of safe, well-maintained hiking trails".
Runners in the 100km and 65km MaXiRace Cape Winelands events will begin their journey in Franschhoek, and head straight for Mont Rochelle. Spectacular views at sunrise will greet runners as they follow some awesome trails in the reserve. The summits of Perdekop (1575m) and Du Toitskop (1470) will be conquered before heading back towards Franschhoek.
Mont Rochelle will put runners to the immediate test and set the tone for the rest of the day! Soak in the views and beauty of the reserve, it sure is spectacular!
Breakfast , check out and off to Prize Giving. Lunch and transfer to airport for flight home.
