Day 1: Cape Town

Welcome to Cape Town!

On arrival at the airport please collect your luggage and make your way to the arrivals hall. Here you are met by a representative (look out for your name on a board) who will assist you with your luggage and to the transfer vehicle. Transfer by private road transfer to the accommodation of your choice.

Spend four nights in Cape Town at your selected accommodation.

Day 2: Cape Town

Spend the day exploring the city, visit the District 6 Museum , the Cape Town Diamond Museum and Castle of Good Hope. A guided walking tour of the city can be arranged and we highly recommend the cable car up to Table Mountain. For those that would love to sample the local cuisine, there is the Cape Town Eats Walking Tour. So many options!

Day 3: Cape Town

If you are happy to get up early, a hike can be arranged up Table Mountain to watch the sunrise. A spectacular way to start the day in Cape Town! A range of fantastic and out of the car adventures can be arranged in Cape Town, from hikes, to paddling and more. Get in touch with us for more information, these can be tailored to your specific interests and includes a private guide for the day.

For the more independent traveller car hire can be arranged or try the Red Bus (hop on and hop off) tour. At least once during your visit we do recommend a guided tour as the guides have incredible local knowledge that you wont find in a book or on the internet!

Day 4: Cape Town

Your last full day in Cape Town to continue exploring, for the truly adventurous: Tandem Paragliding or Sky diving.

Don't forget to make time for a Robben Island Tour and spend a few hours at the

V & A Waterfront.

Day 5: Franschhoek

Today your adventure continues, after breakfast it is time to pack up and check out. Meet your private driver guide in the lobby of the hotel and depart for a full day winelands tour. For those who prefer to be more independent, car hire can be arranged (we recommend delivery the day before).

There is much more to the winelands than wine tasting, there is Olive tasting, chocolate tasting, great places for picnic lunches on the wine farms. There is the Huegenot Monument and if history is of interest, there is a small museum too.

Day 6: Franschhoek

Today is free to further explore the area, The Franschhoek Wine Tram is a fun outing or you can explore the quaint little town of Franschhoek.

Days 7 - 9: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

This morning after breakfast it is time to pack up again. Your private driver will meet you at an agreed time as you head to the airport today for your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On arrival you are met by a representative and transferred by road to Umkumbe Safari Lodge. The transfer is about 2 hours and once you enter the gate, you may seem some game along the way!

Spend three nights at Umkumbe Safari Lodge, your stay includes all meals, teas & Coffees, shared game walks, shared game drives and park fees.

A typical day on safari at Umkumbe Safari Lodge:

Expert rangers will ensure that your safari experience is truly memorable. Each day begins with an early morning safari game drive. In the late afternoon guests head out on another game drive and return after dark, offering guests exhilarating night game drives as well! Optional bush walks are offered every day after breakfast/brunch.

Day 10: End of Itinerary

Today your journey home begins. After breakfast it is time to pack up and check out. Please meet your driver at the agreed time for your private road transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Here you will board your flight to Johannesburg and make a connecting flight.
