Day 1: Galapagos Sea Star Yacht

AM: Flight to San Cristobal Airport (SCY)
Upon your arrival at San Cristobal Airport, your luggage will be inspected by personnel from the Galapagos National Park to prevent the introduction of foreign plants or animals to the Islands. You will also be required to pay a national park entrance fee of $200.
Afterward, you will meet your naturalist guide, who will accompany you on a short five-minute bus ride to the pier, where you will board the Galapagos Sea Star Travel.

PM: David Rodriguez Breeding Center (San Cristobal Island)
In the afternoon, you will visit the David Rodriguez Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, also known as “La Galapaguera.”
Here, you’ll explore a semi-natural habitat where giant tortoises roam freely—offering a fantastic opportunity for photography and your only chance to see this iconic species up close.
Along the trail, you will also encounter San Cristobal mockingbirds, lava lizards, Darwin’s finches, yellow warblers, and Scalesia trees, all endemic to the Galapagos Islands.

Day 2: Galapagos Sea Star Yacht

AM: Suarez Point (Española Island)
This morning, you will explore one of the true highlights of the Galapagos: Suarez Point. Upon arrival at the pier, you'll be greeted by a welcoming committee of marine iguanas and playful sea lions.
As you walk the trail, you will encounter the largest bird in the archipelago—the majestic waved albatross—soaring from the cliffs' edge. This site is teeming with wildlife: Nazca boobies, endemic lava lizards, swallow-tailed gulls, Darwin’s finches, Galapagos hawks, endemic mockingbirds, Galapagos doves, and even a dramatic blowhole that shoots seawater into the air.

PM: Gardner Bay (Española Island)
In the afternoon, you will visit one of the most breathtaking beaches in the Galapagos. Located on the northeastern coast of Española, Gardner Bay boasts soft white coral sand and turquoise waters.
Here, you’ll observe one of the largest colonies of Galapagos sea lions up close. Keep an eye out for the curious Española mockingbirds, often seen flying around and interacting with visitors.
After your walk, you’ll have the chance to snorkel in the shallow bay waters, relax on the beach, or simply enjoy the stunning landscape around you.

Day 3: Galapagos Sea Star Yacht

AM: Punta Cormorant & Devil’s Crown (Floreana Island)
This morning begins with a wet landing on Punta Cormorant’s unique olivine green sand beach. You will walk through lush vegetation—including white and black mangroves, holly stick trees, and endemic Scalesia villosa—toward a lagoon where you can look for iconic bird species such as flamingos, common stilts, and white-cheeked pintail ducks, along with other migratory birds.

Another short trail takes you to a pristine white sand beach, a nesting site for the Pacific green sea turtles during the breeding season. Although swimming is not permitted here due to the presence of stingrays in the shallow water, you may catch a glimpse of small reef sharks along the shoreline.

For those seeking underwater adventure, you’ll have the option to go deep-water snorkeling at Devil’s Crown, a submerged volcanic cone and marine sanctuary. Here, you may spot white-tipped reef sharks, colorful reef fish (like parrotfish, trumpetfish, puffers, king angelfish, and surgeonfish), and even playful Galapagos sea lions.

PM: Post Office Bay & Baroness Lookout (Floreana Island)
In the afternoon, you will land on a green-tinted beach to visit the historic Post Office Bay. Established in 1793 by Captain James Colnett, the wooden barrel still functions as an informal postal system. You’ll have the chance to drop off a postcard of your own and perhaps pick one up to hand-deliver, continuing this centuries-old tradition.

After the short walk, you’ll return to the beach for snorkeling in the shallow waters, where marine turtles and stingrays are often seen.

To wrap up the day, you’ll have the option to kayak in the tranquil waters of Baroness Bay, surrounded by scenic mangroves and dramatic volcanic formations—an ideal setting for both relaxation and exploration.

Day 4: Galapagos Sea Star Yacht

AM: Santa Fe Island
This morning, you’ll make a wet landing on one of Santa Fe’s stunning white sand beaches, home to a large colony of sea lions. Watch as alpha males compete for dominance and their harems—an unforgettable wildlife spectacle.

You will then follow an interior trail through an endemic cactus forest (Opuntia echios barringtonensis), where you may spot the Santa Fe land iguana (Conolophus pallidus), Galapagos hawks, Galapagos snakes, endemic rice rats, a variety of Darwin’s finches, and one of the archipelago’s four mockingbird species.

After your hike, you’ll have the option to kayak or snorkel off a Zodiac in the island’s crystal-clear turquoise waters. This is a fantastic opportunity to encounter sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, playful sea lions, white-tipped reef sharks, and a vibrant variety of reef fish.

PM: South Plazas (Plaza Sur)
In the afternoon, you’ll visit South Plaza Island, one of two small islets located east of Santa Cruz. After a dry landing, you’ll walk through an impressive forest of towering opuntia cacti, where brilliant yellow land iguanas are often seen resting beneath the shade. The island supports an estimated population of about 300 land iguanas, which survive the dry season by feeding on cactus fruit and flowers.

South Plaza is also the only place in the Galapagos where you may observe hybrid iguanas—offspring of marine and land iguanas—easily identified by their strong claws, which help them climb cacti for food.

As you follow the path along the cliffs, you’ll enjoy incredible birdwatching opportunities: red-billed tropicbirds, Nazca and blue-footed boobies, brown pelicans, swallow-tailed gulls, and frigatebirds soar overhead. The trail ends at a dramatic viewpoint overlooking a bachelor sea lion colony, set against a vivid red and green backdrop created by the seasonal color changes of the Sesuvium edmonstonei ground cover.

Day 5: Galapagos Sea Star Yacht

AM: North Seymour Island
Today you will explore North Seymour, a low-lying island formed by tectonic uplift. This small but biologically rich island offers the perfect nesting environment for both species of frigatebirds—the great and the magnificent.

These iconic birds are known as the "pirates of the air" due to their habit of stealing food mid-flight from other seabirds. Because they lack the oil needed to waterproof their feathers, they cannot dive into the sea like other marine birds. During your visit, you’ll witness their spectacular courtship displays, where males inflate their bright red gular sacs to attract females—something you can observe here year-round.

As you walk the trail, you’ll encounter a wide array of wildlife including blue-footed boobies, land iguanas, sea lions, swallow-tailed gulls, Darwin’s finches, and lava lizards. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a rare Galapagos snake.

PM: Bachas Beach (Santa Cruz Island)
In the afternoon, you’ll make a wet landing on the powdery white sands of Bachas Beach, one of the main nesting sites for green sea turtles. Although turtles usually come ashore after 6 p.m., you’ll see evidence of their activity in the sand and may even catch an early visitor.

A short trail (about 500 meters) leads through two distinct areas, ending at a small brackish lagoon. This spot is ideal for birdwatching, with frequent sightings of flamingos, whimbrels, black-necked stilts, plovers, herons, sandpipers, sanderlings, and the distinctive white-cheeked pintail duck. Darwin’s finches, yellow warblers, and marine iguanas are also commonly spotted here.

After your walk, you’ll return to the beach for a refreshing swim in the warm, turquoise waters—an ideal way to end your day in the Galapagos.

Day 6: End of Itinerary

AM: Mosquera Islet
Your final morning in the Galapagos begins with a wet landing on Mosquera Islet, a small sandy formation located between North Seymour and Baltra Island. Formed by geological uplift, this flat islet is home to a lively colony of sea lions and offers excellent opportunities to observe coastal birdlife, including herons and lava gulls.

There are no marked trails here, allowing you to freely explore the open area. Most of the islet is covered in soft white sand and barren lava rock, with a sparse scattering of Sesuvium portulacastrum plants—perfect for peaceful strolls and quiet wildlife observation.

After your visit to Mosquera, you will sail to nearby Baltra Island, where you’ll catch your return flight to mainland Ecuador, bringing your unforgettable Galapagos adventure to a close.
