Arrival in Johannesburg
On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg you will be met and transferred privately to your hotel.
Check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Your hotel has direct access into the Sandton City shopping mall, Johannesburg's premium shopping centre, also connected to Nelson Mandela Square which offers a variety of dining options.
Johannesburg, Soweto & Apartheid Museum Full Day Tour
This tour will begin by discovering Johannesburg's beauty and wealth by discovering its urban environment. You will then visit the inspiring Apartheid Museum dedicated to recounting the history of the rise and fall of Apartheid in 20th century South Africa. The exhibits are from film footage, photographs, text panels and artifacts illustrating the events and human stories of Apartheid. Thereafter you will get the opportunity to discover the former South-African president's house, in which you will hear about the Mandela family's history and times spent in Soweto.
- Apartheid Museum
The Apartheid Museum opened in 2001. The Museum, the first of its kind, illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid. The museum is a superb example of design, space and landscape offering the international community a unique South African experience.
- Mandela House Museum
Mandela House is the house where Nelson Mandela lived until he was forced underground in 1961. It is located on the corner of Vilakazi and Ngakane Street. He moved there in 1946. In 1999 it was declared a National Heritage Site.
- Hector Pieterson Memorial
The Hector Pieterson Memorial, situated in Soweto, commemorates the role of the country’s students in the struggle against apartheid. The commemorative site is just a few blocks from where 12-year-old Hector Pieterson was shot in 1976.
- Freedom Square
On 26 June 1955 the Congress of the people, consisting of people of all races, met on the Freedom Square to draw up the Freedom Charter. The Freedom Charter calls for democracy and human rights, equality of race and language, land reform, labour rights, and nationalization.
- Johannesburg City Orientation
Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa, by population and is also known as Jozi or Joburg. There are plenty of historic and attractive sites in Joburg like the Apartheid Museum, Constitution Hill or the Hector Pieterson Memorial.
Johannesburg to Kruger
Transfer back to OR Tambo International Airport for your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Here you will be met and transferred to and through Kruger National Park to your lodge located on a private concession within the National Park.

Full Day on Safari in Kruger National Park

Full Day on Safari in Kruger National Park
A typical day on safari starts with a pre-sunrise wake up for tea/coffee before heading off for the monring game drive at first light - this is the best time to spot wildlife when it's still cool and the animals are more active.
You will get back to the lodge in time for breakfast in the later part of the morning and after breakfast you will have time to rest, take a dip i nthe pool or maybe spoil yourself with a spa treatment. This is also the time the bush walks will take place. The diversity of fauna and flora in this unique concession truly comes alive when viewed on foot. Qualified walking guides provide the opportunity for guests to experience the excitement of approaching species on foot.
Next is lunch, followed by afternoon siesta time and time to enjoy the setting and facilities at the lodge. Afternoon tea is served before the afternoon game drive departs, usually around 4pm. Sundowners are enjoyed in the bush before returning to the lodge for dinner - the ranger will use a spotlight on the way back to look out for noctural creatures.
Kruger National Park to Cape Town
This morning after your last morning game drive and breakfast you will transfer back to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Cape Town.
On arrival you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel, which is conveniently located in the heart of the vibrant V&A Waterfront. This popular destination offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, shops, markets, entertainment, activities and excursions, all within a safe walking distance from your hotel.
Robben Island Excursion
Today starts with a Robben Island excursion. The tour takes 3.5 hours in total, including the ferry trips across the bay and back. Robben Island is most famous for being where former president Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years of imprisonment. It is also possible (at an additional cost) to do this tour on a private basis and also to have Nelson Mandela's former prison guard who later became a close friend, Christo Brand, be your guide on the island.
Robben Island, the unique symbol of “the triumph of the human spirit over adversity, suffering and injustice” with a rich 500 year old multi-layered history, is visited every year by thousands of people eager to understand and honour the important aspects of South Africa’s history that the Island represents.
On return to the V&A Waterfront it will be lunch time and you will have the remainder of the day at your own leisure.
Private morning Cape Town City Tour with Table Mountain, Lunch in Langa with Township Tour
You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area and taken on a Half Day Cape Town City Orientation Tour to learn about Cape Town’s rich history and vibrant cultures. The day starts with a cableway trip to the top of one of the World’s Natural Wonders – Table Mountain, also the city’s most iconic and recognisable landmark. Explore the walking trails at the top and take in the many different views point across the City Bowl, Table Bay, Atlantic Seaboard and Peninsula.
From Table Mountain your guide will take you back down into the city to visit the colourful Bo Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter), enjoy a walk through the Company Gardens and Greenmarket Square and an orientation drive taking in some of the important historical buildings (for example the Castle of Good Hope – South Africa’s oldest building), streets and features.

Lunch and Afternoon Township Tour
Lunch at Mzansi Restaurant in Langa, operated and owned by a local South African couple, Nomonde and Vukile Siyaka. Officially opened in 2008, Mzansi serves delicious traditional African meals and cuisine that showcase the country’s diverse cultures and tastes. It also offers a multiple cultural activities: customers can listen to the African Marimba band play-ing Indigenous, pop, and jazz music while learning the local dance. Nomonde also shares with all of her guests the powerful story behind the restaurant and her family.
Township tours in Cape Town are a must for anyone wanting to discover the other side of life one Cape Town. These tours take you from the legendary District Six, to some of Cape Town's thriving township such as Langa, where you will learn about the Dutch and British rule of the Cape, slavery, Apartheid, freedom and democracy. You will also have the chance to enjoy local cuisine as well as traditional healers, visit local schools, vibrant churches, shebeens and many other fascinating things to see and do. The people you meet on your township tour will leave you with a new admiration of the South African philosophy of 'Ubuntu', meaning a person is a person through other people, as they share a bit of insight into daily life in the townships of Cape Town.

You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area and taken on a Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour. Cape Town is frequently acknowledged and awarded as being one of the world’s most beautiful places – this tour will show you why! Experience the spectacular natural splendour and abundance of life of the Cape Peninsula. With scenic views to take your breath away and photo opportunities galore this trip also takes you through a World Heritage Site – the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, passing magnificent beaches and the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno. From the busy fishing harbour at Hout Bay you have the option of a boat trip to see the thousands of Cape Fur Seals living on a rocky outcrop. Browse for souvenirs at the Hout Bay Craft Market or take a walk on the beach and paddle your feet in the sea.
The tour continues over Chapman’s Peak, known as one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world, all the way along the Peninsula to the southern tip at Cape Point. An invigorating walk takes you to the two lighthouses at the top and bottom of the headland, from where you will enjoy extraordinary views of the cliffs and the ocean below. Alternatively, you could take an optional short funicular ride to the top. Take a photo down at the most south-western point of the African continent at the Cape of Good Hope beach.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a seaside restaurant (excluded and for your own account) before we make our way along the False Bay coastline to the Naval village of Simon’s Town. We will visit the delightful African Penguins of Boulders Beach and then the drive takes us back via Cape Town’s coastal and southern suburbs.
