Welcome to Rwanda!
Now your vacation can finally start. Your guide will pick you up from the airport and bring you to your first accommodation. There you will have some time to relax and to get ready for the next couple of days filled with exciting activities.

Good morning!
After having rested and experienced the Ugandan hospitality, you are ready for your first day!
Your driver will bring you to Butare where some cultural activities are awaiting you.
Today you first activity on the to-do list is visiting the impressive Nyanza Kings Palace.  Additionally, you will find out about Butare  in its National Museum.

After the cultural day you experienced yesterday, today it is time for some action.
Your guide will pick you up from the hotel in Butare and will drive you to the Emeraude Kivu Resort. 

After check-in,  you will visit the Gikongoro Genocide memorial, which is an impressive experience. 
The next activity is the exciting canopy walk in the Nyungwe National Park! From up here you can observe the majestic national park in its full beauty. 

Day notes

This morning you will head to Nyungwe National Park for a Chimpanzee Tracking. A guide will pick you up and explain what you can expect from today and what points of attention there are. The guides are experienced and this increases your chance of really seeing chimpanzees. Perhaps you recognise some features of yourself? The chimps and humans share 98% of their DNA! 

After this memorable day, you will be brought to Bukavu, Congo to check in at your new accommodation.

Today is the day -  Lowland Gorilla Trekking 
Just as with your first trekking which you experienced yesterday, you are expected by the ranger for a short briefing. Here the most important information will be shared so that you are ready to start looking for the gorillas. The Kahuzi-Biega National Park is impressively large, so the experience of the rangers will  increase the chance of finding these wonderful animals!  It is going to be quite a long hike, so make sure that you are wearing comfortable feetwear! 

After this long and thrilling day, you will proceed to your new accommodation in Rwanda.

After having checked in at your new accommodation,  you will visit the Volcanoes National Park. It is a great location for hikes and  walking trails with its beautiful and unique scenery. Definitely enough photography  moments available!

There is is - the last day of your trip has come!

Before you leave you still get the chance to explore your surrounding. You can either wait at the hotel to let the experiences sink in, or participate in the several activities offered in Musanze/Ruhengeri.

Your transfer will be there on time to pick you up and bring you to the airport in Kigali.
