Pick up from your Hotel in a private vehicle

The Wine Drive Safari is is a unique 3 hour trip on our safari type land rover through the 120ha Estate on the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg mountain.  Not only will you get the chance to taste our award winning estate wines in the vineyards of their origin, you will be expertly guided through all the aspects of what makes this area so biodiverse and viticulturally unique. When you arrive at the estate you will be greeted with bubbles, your guide will then take you on a cellar tour. After that you will depart from the estate in the safari vehicle where you stop at two of our decks. Firstly the Chardonnay Deck where you will taste 3 of our estate white wines paired with a light appetizers. You then go to the other side of the farm and taste our estate red wines at our Cabernet Sauvignon deck and enjoy some more appetizers. You will then come back to the tasting room and end off with a wine and chocolate pairing.

Visit Robben Island

Trace the footsteps of South Africa's Gallant Freedom Fighters at the Robben Island Museum. The museum is located on Robben Island, just off the coast of Cape Town. It holds a significant place in South Africa

Ferries depart for Robben Island from the Nelson Mandela Gateway at the V&A Waterfront at 9am, 11am and 1pm daily, depending on the weather. You can expect the tour (including the trips to and from the island) to last about three-and-a-half hours. Gates close 10 minutes prior to boarding, so it is best to arrive earlyn history as it once housed the country’s most famous political prisoner and freedom fighter, Nelson Mandela. It is now a World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Africa. Your visit to the museum will be guided by a former political prisoner, offering unique insight into the island’s history, and take you to Nelson Mandela’s former cell, standing exactly as it did when he was incarcerated there, as well as the lime quarry where he was forced into hard labour. Your tour begins at the V&A Waterfront before a ferry collects you for a boat ride to the island (weather permitting).

Day 5: Sanbona Wildlife Reserve

Drive through the Du Toit’s Kloof tunnel, joining the beautifully scenic Route 62 (longest Wine Route in the world) and then through the towns of Robertson, Ashton and Montagu

Take a three-hour before arriving  at the unforgettable, malaria-free  Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, at the foot of the towering Warmwaterberg Mountains in the Little Karoo lies the unique safari destination of Sanbona Wildlife Reserve.  Three Luxury Lodges and an adventurous Explorer Camp nestle in 58, 000 hectares of sculpted Cape Fold Mountains and wide-open plains.

In the evening you will be taken for a game drive amid spectacular displays of light as the evening sun sets over the Little Karoo. Game drives are 3 - 3.5 hours and led by a qualified game ranger in a comfortable open Landcruiser 4x4 Truck. During the drive, you will be able to see many different species of plants, animals, big game and birds

Upon your return, you will be greeted with some pre-dinner drinks and a delicious dinner at the lodge before retiring for the night.

On the Game Drives, look out for The Big 5 – Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhinoceros as well as Gemsbok, Springbok, Hartebeest, Eland, Kudu, Black Wildebeest and Zebra will be seen.
