You arrive in Nairobi with your flight ***Preferable PM flight***. You will be met by an Absolute Vantage representative who will then facilitate your transfer to your Bed & Breakfast accommodation for overnight

Journey to Amboseli & Wildlife Encounters

Begin your day with an early breakfast, followed by checkout from your Nairobi hotel. You will then be transferred to Wilson Airport for your one-hour flight to Amboseli National Park, where you will spend the next two nights.

Amboseli is renowned for its vast open landscapes and iconic herds of elephants, which roam freely alongside zebras, buffaloes, hyenas, lions, giraffes, gazelles, and an array of bird species. All of this is set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Your days here will be filled with morning and late afternoon game drives, offering the best chances to witness elephants moving to and from the swamps, crossing the park roads in their natural routines.

For those interested in conservation, there is an opportunity to visit the Amboseli Elephant Trust (AET) to learn about the groundbreaking elephant research led by Cynthia Moss since the 1980s. This visit must be pre-arranged and requires a group donation of $800.

During your stay in Amboseli, you will be accommodated at the luxurious Tortilis Camp, offering stunning views and a perfect retreat after a day of adventure.

Day notes

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Amboseli Airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport, connecting to Samburu National Reserve, where you will stay for four nights.

Samburu is renowned for its rare northern specialist species, known as the Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also home to over 900 elephants, big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and the famous Kamunyak, the lioness who adopted a baby oryx. Wild dogs are also frequently spotted.

Bird enthusiasts will enjoy over 450 species, including the Lesser Kestrel, Taita Falcon, and five vulnerable species. The critically endangered Pancake Tortoise can also be found here.

After your Samburu experience, you will be transferred to Kalama Airstrip for your flight to the Maasai Mara, where you will spend the next three nights.

Famous for its Great Wildebeest Migration (July–September), the Mara is home to the Big Five and a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, zebras, and hippos. The Mara River is a prime location for dramatic wildlife encounters, especially during migration season.

During your stay, you have the option to:

• Take an early morning hot air balloon safari, soaring over the plains as the sun rises, followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
• Visit a Maasai village to learn about the rich Maasai culture and traditions.

Farewell to the Maasai Mara & Departure

Enjoy a leisurely morning with breakfast before bidding farewell to the Maasai Mara. You will be transferred to the airstrip for your one-hour scheduled flight to Nairobi.

Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be transferred to an Airport Hotel, where a day room will be available for you to relax and refresh before your international flight.

At the designated time, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure home, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenyan adventure.
