Day 1: Arusha

Arrive in Arusha and transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge for overnight. A bustling and vibrant small city, Arusha is the gateway to safari adventure in Tanzania. Set in the foothills of Mt Meru, Arusha enjoys a cool moderate climate and rich soils that historically made it a coffee capital of East Africa.

A welcoming sanctuary of aromas, gourmet food and vibrant gardens, Arusha Coffee Lodge is the perfect start or end to an African safari. Set on a working coffee plantation, spacious, modern and comfortable accommodations sit among the verdant coffee bushes

Days 2 - 3: Randilen

Wake up this morning to a sumptuous breakfast and a tour of the surrounding coffee plantation. Then, make your way to the airstrip and fly to Tarangire National Park for a game drive and accommodation. Named after the perennial river that sustains the entire park, Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephant.

Tarangire Treetops is a truly unique accommodation experience. Luxury suites sit on elevated platforms among the branches of the surrounding baobab and marula trees, stirring up memories of childhood treehouses. Enjoy adventurous bush walks alongside elephants, game drives, a Maasai Village visit, and breathtaking sundowners atop Sunset Hill.

Days 4 - 5: Karatu

This morning, enjoy one last game drive on your way to the airstrip and fly to the Ngorongoro Crater. Standing on the edge and taking in the vast beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater is an experience that will remain with visitors forever. The result of a volcanic eruption 2-3 Million years ago, the caldera floor covers 64,000 acres and includes open plains, acacia thickets, riverine forest, and fresh and soda lakes.

Old-world grandeur recreated in a green and lush setting, the Manor at Ngorongoro provides a change of pace to a traditional safari. Located on a sprawling coffee estate with easy access to thrilling game viewing and discovery in the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park, the Manor also affords indulgent pastimes of croquet on the lawn, horse riding, picnics in the coffee fields, and brandies enjoyed over a game of snooker.

Days 6 - 8: Northern Serengeti

Spend the morning visiting Lake Manyara and participating in other camp activities. After lunch, you will make your way to the airstrip and fly to the Serengeti National Park where you will have the choice of staying at either Serengeti Pioneer Camp or Serengeti Migration Camp. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, The Serengeti has attracted and inspired naturalists, filmmakers, writers, conservationists and tourists for many years with its abundance of wildlife and playing host to one of nature’s greatest spectacles, the Great Migration.

Serengeti Pioneer Camp is perched on a rocky outcrop in Southern central Serengeti, close to Moru Kopjes, and affords dramatic views of the Serengeti plains that drift endlessly into the horizon. A camp designed for limited impact on its natural surroundings, Pioneer has the feel of a 1930s mobile safari camp, but with all the modern day amenities of a luxury camp.

Lining the banks of the famous Grumeti river, home to pods of grunting and wallowing hippos, Serengeti Migration Camp perfectly encapsulates the luxury camp experience. Overlooking a kopje and sweeping plains across the river, the camp’s main areas are designed for enjoyment of the expansive view and being captivated by the colors of a spectacular Serengeti sunset.

Day 9: End of Itinerary

Enjoy a final morning in the Serengeti either game driving or relaxing in camp. After lunch, your SkySafari plane will bring you back to Arusha. Once in Arusha you’ll be treated to a day room at Arusha Coffee Lodge to freshen up before transferring to the international airport for your flight home. Or, there are various options for extending your stay.
