Days 3 - 4: Aus

Today you travel to the quiet little desert town of Aus! One of the main attractions of this region are the wild Namib horses. They are the only wild desert horses in the world and there are many theories about their origin. The landscape around Klein-Aus Vista is very special and makes for great photos!

Days 5 - 6: Sossusvlei

Enjoy a hearty breakfast early in the morning before continuing onto Sossusvlei, famous for its vast white clay pan surrounded by some of the world’s tallest red sand dunes, creating a striking contrast against the deep blue sky. Visitors are drawn to Sossusvlei for its dramatic scenery, especially at sunrise and sunset when the dunes glow in rich shades of orange and red. Nearby highlights include Deadvlei, with its ancient, blackened camel thorn trees, making the area a photographer’s paradise and a must-see destination in Namibia.

Day 7: Walvis Bay

Today we continue towards the coast of Namibia and the port of Walvis Bay. The lagoon where flamingos and other seabirds gather, makes for a natural backdrop for a leisurely stroll along the promenade.  Amongst the choice of adventure activities are a boat trip to see the dolphins and seals along the coast or enjoy kayaking on the lagoon itself.  Nearby, Sandwich Harbour offers spectacular scenery where the dunes of the Namib Desert meet the ocean, while the Salt Pans are known for their large salt production areas and bright pink ponds. Great opportunities exist to photograph the pink flamingoes on the lagoon.

Day 8: Spitzkoppe

You continue your journey towards Spitzkoppe, where you will spend the night in an idyllic location amidst the striking granite formations. There, you will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating landscape of Spitzkoppe on your own, discover impressive rock formations, and enjoy the tranquility of this unique area. Optionally, you can take short hikes or simply experience the spectacular sunsets over the granite mountains.  Endless landscapes make striking photographs.
