Days 1 - 2: Okavango Panhandle

Upon arrival into Maun Airport, proceed to Customs/Immigration and collect your luggage before you will be met by a representative from Safaris Specialists and shown to Mack Air to assist with check-in for your light aircraft transfer flight to the Okavango Delta panhandle. The following two nights you spend at Xaro Lodge on a fully inclusive basis.

Please note that the flight is booked on a ‘seat rate’ basis and therefore flight times are not scheduled until the day prior to flying, lodge managers will arrange your activities and transfers accordingly. Please note that there is a strict luggage restriction on all light aircraft flights of 15kg per person in soft bags, plus 5kg hand luggage and there may be up to 3 stops en-route.

Days 3 - 4: Khwai Community Area

After breakfast and a morning activity (flight time permitting) you have a light aircraft transfer flight across the Okavango Delta to Khwai airstrip where you are collected by the Bush Ways guide and group to join the 6 night mobile group camping safari ahead.

Days 5 - 6: Savuti - Chobe National Park

Today you head northeast towards the Savuti area of Chobe National Park. The journey will take approximately 5 – 6 hours with game viewing along the way. Camp is set up on arrival and you spend the next two days in Savuti on game drives, continuing your search for wildlife, in this ever-changing landscape.

Days 7 - 8: Chobe National Park

Today we embark on a longer journey, departing the Savuti and heading north into the Chobe National Park, a drive of up to 5 hours taken at a leisurely pace whilst the camp crew packs up and moves camp.

Your game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African Fish Eagle.  The Chobe River Floodplain is an amazing game viewing area where water attracts large herds of buffalo, elephant, zebra and other herbivores.  Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand.  Sun sets in this region as always spectacular and allows amazing photographic opportunities.

While in Northern Chobe, you will participate in a cruise on the Chobe River.  This experience allows you to get a closer look at the aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari.

Days 9 - 10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

The safari officially ends at 12h00 on Day 7 at Kalahari Tours, Kasane after a cruise on the Chobe River. This experience allows you to get a closer look at the aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari.  Lunch is not included.
