On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport you will be assisted with a road transfer to Simbavati River Lodge where you will stay for 2 night. (approximately 61km)

This afternoon after settling in and having lunch, there will be a scheduled game drive arranged for you followed by a Boma dinner in the evening at the lodge.

Situated in the heart of the world-renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, this intimate, family-friendly camp is built on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River – a beautiful watercourse in the summer months when rain is plentiful, and a dry riverbed in the drier winter months.

Shaded by age old Jackalberry and Leadwood trees, Simbavati River Lodge is warm and welcoming, with a generous contemporary design and accommodation for guests in luxury tented rooms or thatched chalets.

Simbavati takes its name from the local Shangaan language, translated as “the place where the lions come down from the stars”. The focus of the lodge is on the excellent big-5 game viewing, breathtaking views, friendly and knowledgeable staff in an environment where guests are made to feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment they arrive.

Simbavati River Lodge is situated in the northern sector of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, and surrounded by 12 000 hectares of wildlife and rich wilderness in which you can experience an authentic and affordable African safari.

On day 2 at Simbavati River Lodge you will have the day at leisure.

The lodge offers Big 5 game drives in the early morning and late afternoon/evening to ensure game viewing when the animals are most active. Nocturnal animals, including the big cats are regular sightings at night.

Currently there are over 40 mammal species in the Timbavati including the Big 5 of lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant as well as 360 species of bird life.

All meals and one scheduled game drive is included in the package for you to enjoy at leisure.

This morning after an early morning game drive you will have breakfast and check-out of Simbavati River Lodge.

An SW Africa representative will assist with a road transfer to Maputo Marina.

Cross border between S.A. and Mozambique. (estimate 194km)

Time needs to be allowed for border crossing.

On arrival at Maputo Marina, you will be met by a Machangulo Beach lodge representative who will assist with a boat transfer to Machangulo Beach Lodge.

The day will be at leisure.

All non-motorized activities are included to be enjoyed at your discretion.

Breakfast will be served bright and early today and there is much to do at Machangulo Beach Lodge.

Play outdoors on an energetic tidal estuary where huge fish swim and the diving is out of this world.

KAYAKING, BIRDING, PICNICS.. Pack a picnic and head off into the great open spaces to chill on the sands, swim and play with a ball. For more of an adventure, the lodge can arrange a picnic on Portuguese Island or Inhaca Island – take your snorkeling gear for something thrilling.

See Fish Eagles and Great White Pelicans when you kayak into the estuary – a region classified as an Important Birding Area by Birdlife International.

This morning after breakfast the day will be at leisure.

There is a beautiful, relaxing and tranquil Spa at Machangulo Beach Lodge which you are able to enjoy on your last day.

Today you will check-out after breakfast and be assisted with a boat transfer to Maputo Marina.

On arrival at Maputo Marina you will be collected and transferred by road to the Airport for your scheduled return flight either direct or via Johannesburg
