Make your own way to London Heathrow for the overnight flight departing to Addis Abba.
On arrival at Bole International Airport, Addis Abba proceed in transit for your onward connecting flight departing to Blantyre International Airport. Welcome on arrival at Blantyre International Airport by a Swords Travel Representative, and proceed by luxury road transfer to the Majete Wildlife Reserve, where you will check in at Mkulumadzi, followed by an afternoon game drive exploring Malawi's only Big 5 Reserve.
Spend the next 2 nights enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in open 6 seater safari vehicles with your experienced guide. During the day, you may wish to hike to the summit of Majete Hill or take part in a black rhino tracking experience, and delighting in cultural visits along the Shire River.
After a fond farewell, you will continue the adventure by road to the Liwonde National Park, with your Swords Travel Representative, taking in the spectacular country side and small villages. Continue through the park, to Kuthengo Camp, followed by a late lunch on the banks of the Shire River, followed an afternoon game drive in search of the famed African Elephant herds in the park.
Start the day with an early morning game drive, in search of rare wildlife species. Be on the look out for African buffalo to bushbuck, plus endangered wildlife sightings and hippos lazing in the pool. Spend the day exploring the banks of the Shire River and hidden lagoons in search of pristine birdlife, which the park is famed for, including rare sightings of Pel's fishing owl and Livingstone’s flycatcher.
After breakfast, you will continue the journey by road to the shores of Lake Malawi, whilst embracing the sheer beauty of the Malawian country side during the journey, before reaching the Nankumba Peninsula, where Pumulani is located on the western shores of the World Heritage site. After a delightful late lunch, depart on a sunset dhow safari on the majestic Lake Malawi.
Spend the next 2 nights relaxing on the shores of Lake Malawi, or taking part in a host of activities from snorkeling to kayaking across the Lake, whilst marvelling at the beauty of Malawi. Visit the local villages and craft markets, and take part in a guided walks through the hidden footpaths.
After breakfast, you will transfer with Swords Travel Representative to Lilongwe International Airport, where you will check - in for your return flight via Addis Abba to London Heathrow.
