Day 1: Amboseli National Park

JKIA – Amboseli

Meet and greet at JKIA. After a brief introduction depart for Amboseli to arrive in time for lunch.

Afternoon Game drive in Amboseli National Park. Mount Kilimanjaro provides a dramatic backdrop to Amboseli as it rises almost 20,000 feet above the plain and the concentration of wildlife drawn to the park in the dry season. Amboseli boasts a variety of ecosystems - marshland, scrubby plain, acacia woodlands - supporting a diverse range of wildlife.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

During your days at Amboseli you can choose to take a picnic box and head out to spend around 6-7 hours in the park, or you can choose to do separate morning and afternoon game drives.

Personally we preferred the all day game drives as you could get further into the park, providing the opportunity to see different animals, and you will still be back around 2-3pm, offering plenty of time to laze around the pool, or chill in the room before dinner.

Day 3: Naivasha

For your final morning in Amboseli you will have breakfast and a short morning game drive before departing for Naivasha. You will have  a stop-over in Nairobi for lunch before heading on to arrive at your Naivasha resort in the early evening.

Day 4: Masai Mara

After breakfast you will journey further south through the infamous Great Rift valley to the Maasai Mara with a plan to arrive at your lodge for lunch.

The Maasai Mara is a vast area of grassy plains converging by the meandering Mara River. It is an African Gem and an area rich in wildlife. You will spend your time here in search of the infamous Big 5 and many other beautiful animals such as cheetah, giraffe, zebra and antelope.

Day 5: Masai Mara

Your morning will start with a quick tea or coffee at the lodge, followed by an early morning game drive. You will get to watch the beautiful and colourful savannah waking up, and morning game drives are a good time to spot cats. After you will return to the camp for breakfast. Take a guided camp walk, learn more about sustainable tourism, visit the Masai Arts & Crafts Workshop, or visit a local cultural Masai village to learn more about this unique tribe that co-exist freely with wildlife.

Afternoon game drives start at approximately 4pm and you will once again go in search of game, and hopefully get the chance to enjoy a picturesque African sunset.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.

Day 6: Masai Mara

Today you can choose to take a picnic box and head out to spend around 6-7 hours in the park, or you can choose to do separate morning and afternoon game drives.

As with Amboseli we again recommend the all day game drives as you can get explore much more of the Maasai Mara with longer in the park.

Day 7: Nairobi

Today after breakfast you will do a final game drive before heading back to Nairobi.

On arrival in Nairobi you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Giraffe Centre where there is the chance to feed these beautiful and graceful animals. There is also time for a final meal at the Carnivore Restaurant before heading over to your hotel in Nairobi for the final evening in Kenya.

The Crowne Plaza hotel is very conveniently located at Nairobi Airport, so there is only a 5 minute commute the next day ready to meet your flight home. The rooftop pool and bar offers a lovely place to relax, with great meals and drinks on offer at reasonable prices.

Day 8: End of Itinerary

Today at an agreed time you will be transferred to the airport ready for your onward flight or flight home.
