Missing Point

Day notes

During your time in Cape Town you have your private guide and vehicle at your disposal to explore Cape Town and it's surrounds .

Your guide will discuss with the the daily idea and see what is best according to the weather conditions and what you prefer to consider on the days in Cape Town.

Traveling with your own private guide during time in Cape Town will enable you to visit unique places that will be of interest to you.

We will use a private vehicle in Cape Town on days specified for touring suggestions on a " Go As You Please Basis" based on you having a vehicle and guide at your disposal and paying entrance fees as you wish based on what you prefer to see, during your time. All details can be discussed with your guide locally

We usually suggest " City Touring and Table Mountain", “Cape Peninsular “ and “Cape Winelands”

Suggestion for today would be: Go As You Please - Morning City Tour and Table Mountain"

Lunch own arrangements maybe at Harbour House in the V&A Waterfront or as discussed with your guide,

Day 11

Missing Point

Day notes

Breakfast at your hotel.

Suggest a Full day “Go As You Please Basis Cape Peninsular excursion ”

Depart at approximately 9:00am ( time can be discussed with your guide locally to suit your requirements, the weather or what the guide suggests) with private vehicle drive in a southerly direction onto the Cape Peninsula. On passing the face of Table Mountain we pass places District Six, Rhodes Estate, Groote Schuur Hospital, Rhodes Memorial and The University of Cape Town. All of these places are deeply entrenched in the history and culture of Cape Town and invariably leads to interesting discussions regarding the past and future of South Africa.

Program is flexible but the highlights are as follows; Our first stop is the seaside village of Muizenburg where you will be able to take in the breathtaking views of False Bay. From here we follow the incredibly scenic route along the False Bay coast through the fishing villages like Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek on the way to Simonstown. Simonstown having been a British naval town until as recent as 1957, normally comes as a pleasant surprise to everyone visiting the Cape Peninsula as encountering such a ‘British Town’ in Cape Town is unexpected.
Can also arrange a cruise to seal Island for the clients on one of the local boats that offer this trip from either Simonstown or Hout Bay.

Again the guide will discuss with you where appropriate as your preferences.

At Simonstown we drive through the navy village and then to Boulders beach to visit the penguin colony and the two thousand Jackass Penguins dressed in their ‘tuxedos’ and doing the cute things that penguins do. After the penguin colony we drive along the wonderfully scenic mountain drive along False Bay to visit The Cape of Good Hope reserve. Cape Point reserve is a magnificent floral wilderness at the foot of Africa. For the nature loving person it is a truly fantastic experience traversing such a unique floral kingdom. Who knows, if we are lucky enough we might even see some antelope, ostrich or baboon. If we are really fortunate we might even see the elusive Burchell Zebra that makes an appearance on the reserve infrequently.

From the Cape Point reserve we head back up the Western side of the peninsula along the treacherous Atlantic coast through the amazingly beautiful seaside hamlet of Misty Cliffs and then over the Peninsula Mountains.

For lunch for today we can suggest be at the elegant Constantia Uitsig – La Colombe Wine estate at Constantia Uitsig restaurant or quirky and stylish Harbour House in Kalk Bay ( lunch own account and these are just suggestions and your guide can see what you prefer)

You should return to the Penthouse at about 530P.

Note: As "Go As You Please basis you pay your entrances as you desire.

Day notes

Breakfast at the Penthouse.

Suggestions today:"Go As You Please Basis - “Touring of the beautiful Cape Winelands for a full day of the region to take in the wine estates surrounding the historic towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.

Wine estates visited will vary depending on own preference in wine. Your guide will discuss all options with you and select the best suitable wine estates to visit in the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch region. The tastings will include high quality (and often award winning) red and whites wines.

Lunch (for your own account) will be at one of the spectacular restaurants in the area where the chefs regularly receive awards for their outstanding cuisine. – Your guide will discuss with you based on his suggestions and those that we have previously advised for consideration.

There are many natural and historic heritage places in this area and your guide will take you past many sights like the Afrikaans Taal Monument amongst others. The majestic scenery in the area is unparalleled so even if you don’t drink wine, the countryside and the history make it well worth the visit. Stellenbosch, with its tree lined streets are filled unique historical architecture and a variety of alfresco cafes that you can visit.
