Day 1: San Jose

Upon arrival in Costa Rica once passing migrations, baggage claim and customs, you will meet our representative in the arrivals hall. Our guide will check with you your travel details and transport you to the hotel which takes approx. 25 minutes.

Day 2: Manuel Antonio

Transfer to Hotel Parador Resort & Spa.

Day 3: Manuel Antonio

This National Park is one of the most popular in the country thanks to its wide variety of flora and fauna specimens: it is home to 3 of the 4 existing monkey species in Costa Rica. The park itself boasts 3 different trails that vary in grade from flat to very steep. During this tour, the visitors will be accompanied by a nature guide who is knowledgeable about everything they will see. The trail they will take is approximately 2 miles long, flat and picturesque and loops through the Park. Throughout the hike, the guide will stop and explain the different nature specimens that can be observed; the visitors can take photographs or just admire the view. Half way through the hike, a 20-minute stop will be made at the third beach for everyone to rest on the beach or play among the waves if they choose so.  Throughout the hike they will be able to observe sloths, birds and reptiles, as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees. The guides are equipped with Pentax and Swarovski telescopes that the visitors can use to observe wildlife and take pictures with a different perspective. Upon finishing the tour everyone will be provided with transportation back to the hotel.

Day 4: Manuel Antonio

Day 6: Santa Elena

The tour begins when the naturalist guide picks you up at your hotel in Monteverde. Then you will begin to discover the trails, there are several that you can choose. An alternative is to walk to the panoramic viewpoint La Ventana, where you can witness the natural contrast made by the Continental Division, a geographical feature that traces the main mountain ranges of Costa Rica. In this place, you can experience the force of the trade winds loaded with moisture that blow from the Atlantic coast, and witness how they descend at great speed towards the Central Pacific and the coastal plains of northern Costa Rica. There are more than 500 species of birds, including the majestic Quetzal, 120 species of reptiles and amphibians, more than 3000 plants and the largest variety of orchids in the world.

Day 7: La Fortuna

This service, half transfer and half excursion, is a fast and scenic way to go from Monteverde to La Fortuna (Arenal area). You will leave your hotel in Monteverde and will have a trip of approximately 1.5 hours to Río Chiquito. (During the rainy season, this transfer may take longer). Once in Chiquito River, you will board a comfortable and safe pontoon boat and after a 30 to 40-minute trip you will arrive at Arenal Lake. After a minibus trip for approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at your hotel in the Arenal area. 
Arenal Lake is the largest and most important in Costa Rica, it is of artificial origin built in 1974 in order to obtain hydroelectric power for the country. It is also a place where you can find a variety of resident and migratory birds, sometimes it is possible to observe mammals such as monkeys and sloths in the surroundings of the place, in addition, excellent views of the Arenal Volcano when it is not cloudy.

It is recommended to wear long pants, coat, comfortable shoes, camera, binoculars, sunscreen and waterproof.

Day 8: La Fortuna

The Arenal area is well known for the diversity of its fauna, however, one of the most popular species is the sloth. During this activity, you will have the opportunity to admire two or three fingers sloths, this being the most popular species in the region, and you will be able to know its natural history and other important data that you might not even imagine. Your guide will look for the best places to observe them in their natural habitat, leading you through beautiful open areas in La Fortuna and, at the same time, you can see some more species such as the multicolored toucan, the poison dart frog, iguanas and monkeys, among others.
