The trip begins from Coca City where we board a motor boat to head down the Napo River, looking out for native birdspecies along the way, until we arrive to the Napo Cultural Center Lodge. Be welcomed with a traditional and refreshing ice cold "wayusa”. After lunch you go to hike along playas trail looking for amazon wildlife, and during the rest of the day you have the opportunity to go kayaking and enjoy the sunset in the vastness of the Napo River. After dinner,rest and relaxation at the lodge.

After breakfast head to the intercultural interpretation center “Kuri Muyu”, handled by women, to learn about the kichwa culture and customs. Return to the community center for lunch inthe dining hall, and then enjoy a one hour hike and climb up the 35 meter observation tower to spot a variety of birds, howler monkeys squirrel monkeys, parrots and sloths. During the afternoon head back to Napo Cultural Center through Anangu Creek to spot more wildlife. Upon arriving enjoy a traditional dinner, called “maito” which is grilled fish wrapped in a “bijao” leaf. If you want to taste something unusual, you can also try the grilled worms called “chontakuru”.

Early in the morning, at around 4:30, you can take part of the optional “wayusada” ritual with the kichwa family. This has been a way to pass their ancient knowledge to their new generations. Share the traditional chants and have the chance to interpret your dreams during this mystical experience. After this activity head back for breakfast and then begin your return to Coca City.
