Your guide will be with you today at 09:00 just after you have had breakfast.

After a quick safari briefing by your professional tour guide and after your luggage has been stored safely in the vehicle, your 7-day Namibia safari begins.

You will leave Windhoek and travel southwards in the direction of Mariental. The destination for the day is Kalahari Anib Lodge , a farm situated in the imposing red sand dunes of the southern Kalahari. Enjoy the peace of the desert, relax and take in the endless views of the dunes.

Day 3: Solitaire

An early start to the day awaits those who wish to go on a sunrise drive. On this optional activity, you can watch as the desert awakens and admire the beauty of your surroundings as the first rays of sunshine fall on the red sand dunes.

A local guide will accompany you on this scenic drive and give you insights into the fascinating nature and wildlife of the Kalahari.

Then you head in the direction of Sesriem, via Mariental and Maltahöhe, the gateway of the giant star dunes of the Namib Desert at Sossusvlei. Once arrived at your accommodation, you can take some time out to relax. Those who slept in this morning, might want to go on an optional scenic drive with sundowner in the afternoon. Alternatively, you could also simply lie by the pool and enjoy your beautiful surroundings.

Day 4: Solitaire

An early start rewards you with one of Africa’s most extraordinary spectacles. Entering the Namib-Naukluft National Park at sunrise, you witness the desert awaken as the first golden light transforms the towering dunes into a palette of apricot, deep red, and burnt orange—set against a vast, cloudless blue sky.

This is a photographer’s dream and a moment of pure serenity.

Your journey takes you deep into the heart of the desert to the iconic Deadvlei, an otherworldly white clay pan scattered with ancient camelthorn trees, dramatically framed by some of the highest dunes on earth. Nearby lies Sossusvlei, where the ephemeral Tsauchab River surrenders to the sands, disappearing into this timeless landscape.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, there is the opportunity to ascend one of the majestic dunes. From the summit, breathtaking panoramic views stretch endlessly across the desert—a truly unforgettable perspective.

Later, you explore the remarkable Sesriem Canyon, a natural wonder carved over millions of years, offering a striking contrast to the vast open dunes and serving as a vital lifeline in this arid environment.

Day 5: Swakopmund

Today you will continue on gravel road to Swakopmund. Driving through Namib Naukluft Park on the way to Swakopmund is a memorable experience that highlights the extreme beauty of Namibia's desert terrain.

The route offers breathtaking views at every turn as it passes through the captivating Moon terrain, which is distinguished by its rough, strange formations that resemble a lunar surface.

You will come across the unusual Welwitschia plants along the route, which flourish in this hostile climate with their characteristic twisted leaves that can last for centuries. This drive culminates in the beach attractiveness of Swakopmund while showcasing the stark contrasts of the desert and immersing you in the area's rich flora and geological wonders.

The cuisine, architecture (such as the station building and the old courthouse) and language are evidence of the German colonial era. Swakopmund is a base for adventure activities; daytrips to the seal colony, desert tours, dune boarding and flights over the Namib Desert. Explore the rough coast or take a relaxing stroll around the town.
