After a delicious breakfast, you’ll set out on a full-day Cape Peninsula tour, a journey that showcases some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in the world. The drive winds along the Atlantic Seaboard through the charming harbor town of Hout Bay before continuing on the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive, a route known for its sheer cliffs and panoramic ocean views. Your adventure takes you all the way to Cape Point, where dramatic cliffs and wild seas meet.

Explore the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, climb or take the funicular to the old lighthouse, and take in the iconic views where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans appear to merge. On your return journey, you’ll visit Boulders Beach, home to a thriving colony of endangered African penguins, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque naval town of Simon’s Town. Before returning to your hotel, you’ll stop at the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, set against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. In the afternoon, enjoy some leisure time to relax or explore at your own pace. We suggest heading to the V&A Waterfront where you can browse boutique shops, take in the lively atmosphere, and enjoy a delicious lunch and dinner at one of the many restaurants (meals at own expense).

Day 4: Cape Town

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure. Start the morning slow—sleep in, enjoy a relaxed breakfast, and soak in the comforts of your hotel. Later, head to the V&A Waterfront for a day of shopping, sightseeing, and soaking up the lively atmosphere. From local designer boutiques to artisanal markets, there’s plenty to explore.

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast before checking out from your hotel. You’ll journey into the Cape Winelands, arriving at the prestigious Waterford Estate, located in the picturesque Blaauwklippen Valley. Here, you’ll embark on their signature Wine Drive Safari – a unique and immersive wine tasting experience set among the rolling vineyards.

As you explore the estate by open vehicle, enjoy breathtaking views paired with handcrafted platters and tastings of Waterford’s finest wines, including their flagship blend, The Jem. After this memorable journey, you'll check into your hotel in Hermanus and have the rest of the afternoon to unwind or explore the town’s charming streets and cafés at your leisure.

An early breakfast is followed by your transfer to the airport for your flight to Hoedspruit, gateway to the Greater Kruger. On arrival, a representative from Kapama River Lodge will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge. After a warm welcome and check-in, enjoy a light lunch and some time to settle in before heading out on your first afternoon safari. Kapama is a Big Five reserve, and your experienced ranger and tracker will help you seek out Africa’s iconic animals. Return at dusk to freshen up before a delicious dinner is served, often accompanied by the distant sounds of the bush.

Days 15 - 16: Kapama Private Game Reserve

Day 15 and 16: Kapama Private Game Reserve – Safari Bliss in the Greater Kruger

Over the next two days, you’ll fully immerse yourself in the magic of the African wilderness with twice-daily guided game drives in open safari vehicles. Each day begins with a gentle early morning wake-up call and freshly brewed coffee before setting off into the bush as the first light touches the savanna. With the help of your expert ranger and tracker, search for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, and countless bird species.

During your morning drive, enjoy a scenic coffee stop and stretch your legs while discussing sightings with your guide. Return to the lodge for a generous breakfast. The late mornings are yours to relax: lounge at the pool, enjoy a treatment at the award-winning Kapama Karula Spa, or take part in an optional bush walk to learn about animal tracks, medicinal plants, and the smaller wonders of the wilderness.

After a light lunch, gather again for afternoon tea, followed by your second safari of the day, this time with a sundowner stop in the bush—a moment to sip a drink while watching the sky ignite in colour. On arrival, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure, relaxing or perhaps indulging in a spa treatment. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the vibrant city atmosphere or unwind ahead of your final full day.

After breakfast, depart on a guided cultural exploration of Johannesburg and Soweto with a unique twist: a 4-hour tuk-tuk experience through the heart of Soweto.
