Full day activities included. Donkey Ride with the Maasai - the typical tourist attraction in Tanzania is a safari by foot or by car. In many places, horse rides are offered as an alternative. But how about something new? Why not try a ride on the back of a donkey at sunrise? It’s the best way to enjoy the serenity of the savannah and the beautiful view of Kilimanjaro. With a bit of luck, you might even experience the early morning hustle and bustle of the African savannah. We especially recommend the donkey ride for families with children.
Spear throwing competition against the Maasai - traditional spear throwing competitions are deep-rooted in the Maasai culture. They were not only important for Maasai warriors in order to compete with each other, but also served as training for hunting lions. Nowadays, the lions are protected and the Maasai don’t hunt them anymore. Spear throwing competitions are now merely an athletic event. Try your luck and compete with the best of the best!
Nature Walk with the Maasai - accompanied by a Maasai shaman you will have the chance to discover the surrounding areas. Meet the locals of Ngabobo who will share their extensive knowledge of herbs and medicinal plants and introduce you to the Maasai’s culture, which has stayed unchanged for centuries. In close proximity to the lodge you will have the chance to pick these medicinal plants yourself and might even prepare your own tea with them. It will be a very special teatime, both for you and the Maasai.

Breakfast and lunch at the lodge. Morning at leisure to relax by the swimming pool. Afternoon transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
