Fogo – Hiking the 2014/2015 crater - SFL 006
We will hoke the crater formed by the 2014 eruption, with 2060m high.
This is the opportunity to explore the most recent crater of Caldeira, which we call "Pequeno Pico" and check the destruction caused to this area, while observing the contrasts of colors between vegetation and lava.
The heat of the soil in some places and the smell of sulfur reminds us of the recent activity of the volcano and give us a real sense of the destruction caused by lava flows from this eruption…

An experience you will never forget!
Climbing to the highest peak in Cape Verde, with an altitude of 2,829 meters. Throughout the climb and from the highest point, you can admire a complete view of Chã das Caldeiras and even Santiago Island. From there, we realize the dimension of the successive eruptions.
When we reach the top we have the feeling of being on top of the world, while the sulfur smell emanating from the center of the impressive volcano is present.

Fogo – Hiking Chã das Caldeiras to Monte Velha’s forest and Mosteiros - SFL 009
Leaving the volcanic landscape of Chã das Caldeiras in our back, we walk through Monte Velha forest, composed by eucalyptus, cypress and many other species of trees. We descend to the community of Pai António, where the forest landscape turns into green agricultural fields, where we pass through the coffee and banana plantations, which give the landscape an exuberant life.
We will finish in a village planted by the sea - arriving at Mosteiros, where lunch will take place.

Santiago - Hiking Pico de Antonia
A hike to the highest point of Santiago Island, with a height of 1394m.
We start at the small village of Picos, descending between mountains and small valleys, enjoying the magnificent mountainous landscapes.
Along the way, we will see the iconic Dragoeiro, one of the endemic trees.
We will be able to see models of traditional stone houses, we will take the opportunity to learn more about the daily life of farmers. The village of Orgãos is the last stop.

Hiking Pico D'Antonia
Santiago - Hiking Ribeira Principal Serra da Malagueta
Hike to the Serra Malagueta Natural Park, located in the north of the island. One of the most beautiful hikes on the island of Santiago, descending through the Ribeira Principal Valley to the small village of Hortelão.
Along the way, we will pass between traditional stone houses, accessible only on foot. The guide will explain the curiosities about the flora and the daily life of the inhabitants who live there mainly from agriculture.
