Day 1: Depart from Nairobi to Koru via Road. Kweisos is at Koru, in Kisumu County, about 11 /2 hours drive east of Kisumu. From Nairobi you have three options to get here: Travel via Nakuru towards Eldoret.At the Mau Summit inter-change turn towards Kericho. After 9 km take the bitumen road to the right. Approximately 56 kms down this road, passing Londiani town, Kipkelion turn-off and Fort Tenan town, you will see sign for Homa Lime Co. Ltd. On the right handside. Take this turning and drive until you cross the railway line and then turn left at the second sign. After the bridge, drive straight on until you see the sign for Kweissos. This is the shortest route with spectacular scenery.
Arrive in time for Lunch. Enjoy home grown, home cooked traditional Farmhouse Cooking. The house has it’s own kitchen where our staff prepare your meals or picnics if you would like to eat out on the farm or elsewhere. If you prefer to cater for yourself you may bring your own food.
Later in the day clients can walk or drive (4-w.d.) around the 3000 acre estate at your leisure and enjoy the superb bird watching opportunities, walking and fishing on small dams for tilapia, catfish or bass. There is a guide available, who will take you to the Waterfall, Sticky Dam, the Sundowner Hill or the Arboretum.

“Kweisos”means the place of palms. This is derived from the Kipsigis word “Sosiot”. The midribs of the local palms, Phoenix reclinata, are used for cleaning out the insides of calabashes, which are then used as containers for liquids.
Early Morning Breakfast at the house. Depart the house for a nature walk to the waterfall and sugarcane & cattle farm tour, stone mining tour. A perfect retreat to get away from it all and enjoy nature in a gorgeous setting. Set in mature garden with swimming pool. Walks around the farm with good birdwatching, horse riding and an hours drive from Kericho (golf & fishing), Kisumu (golf) and Nandi Hills (golf). Drive through via Nakuru through Kikuyu to arrive in Nairobi in time before sundown. Clients will be transferred to hotel or residence
