Upon your arrival, we’ll set off on our scenic drive to Hluhluwe. The road ahead is in excellent condition, though dotted with a few toll plazas and shared with bustling transport vehicles, so we recommend allowing approximately three hours for the journey.

The beauty of a private transfer is the freedom it offers—we can stop whenever you'd like to stretch your legs, take photos, or simply soak in the scenery. Our main goal today is to reach Hluhluwe before sunset, giving us time to unwind, settle in, and fully relax after a rewarding day of travel.

Over the next two days, get ready for a delightful mix of wild adventure, cultural charm, and a few unforgettable animal encounters (don’t worry, they’re the friendly kind… mostly).

We’ll be splitting our time between the coastal haven of St Lucia and the legendary wilderness of Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, South Africa’s oldest game reserve—where the Big Five roam like they own the place (which, frankly, they kind of do). Buckle up for an open-vehicle safari, where the wind’s in your hair and there’s always the chance of a surprise giraffe traffic jam or an elephant giving you the side-eye.

Down in St Lucia, things get a little splashier. We’ll hop aboard a Hippo and Croc cruise on the St Lucia Estuary, where you'll glide past yawning hippos, sneaky crocodiles, and a birdlife chorus line straight out of a David Attenborough documentary. Don’t lean too far over the edge—we like to keep all limbs onboard.

And just when you think you've seen it all, we take you even deeper into the soul of Zululand. Our Authentic Zulu Village Experience isn’t just a visit—it’s a journey into tradition, rhythm, and resilience. You’ll witness vibrant dances that tell stories, meet artisans whose hands create magic from beads and fabric, and share in a culture that is as warm as it is proud.

Then, it’s time for something truly special: The Zululand Cat Conservation Project. Here, you’ll come face to (safe) face with Africa’s elusive smaller wild cats—cheetahs, caracals, servals—majestic creatures often overshadowed by their larger cousins. It’s a rare chance to learn about vital conservation efforts, see these incredible animals up close, and maybe even help feed one (gloved hands only, we promise).

By the end of it all, you’ll have enough stories, laughs, and jaw-dropping moments to make your friends back home extremely jealous—and possibly start planning their own trip.

Our journey now takes us to the spectacular Maputaland Marine Protected Area, a coastal sanctuary so enchanting, it has a way of capturing hearts and never letting go. This little slice of heaven is more than just a destination—it’s a feeling, a rhythm, a breath of fresh sea air that seeps into your soul. Trust us, once you arrive, you might start plotting ways to stay forever.

Tucked into the coastal dune forest, your lodge is a haven of tranquility, where the pace is yours to choose. Whether it’s cocktails by the pool, flavored with the zing of local botanicals, or a lazy wander through forest paths that open onto a beach set up just for you—shade, cushions, drinks and all—it’s the kind of place that understands the art of relaxation.

But for those with a thirst for adventure, there’s plenty to dive into—literally and figuratively. Glide silently through ancient fish traps by kayak, exploring one of Southern Africa’s oldest cultural sites. As you paddle across serene waters, keep your eyes peeled for hippos lounging like royalty, and flamingos wading gracefully, painting the lake with pink reflections. After a soul-soothing stay by the sea, it's time to say goodbye to the coastal magic of Big Skies—though not without a final coffee under the trees and a warm farewell hug from the team who now feel like family. With bags packed and spirits high, we trade ocean breeze for the call of the wild as we set off inland toward Amakhosi Private Game Reserve. The journey winds through changing landscapes, each mile drawing us closer to the heart of Zululand, where rugged cliffs, shimmering waterfalls, and untamed wildlife await. Get ready—your next adventure is about to begin in spectacular style.

At safari lodges, the daily schedule and included experiences can vary depending on the specific lodge you choose and the level of comfort or package you prefer—from mid-range to luxury. The itinerary we’ve shared is designed to give you a clear idea of what a typical experience might look like at this level.

That said, nature has its own rhythm! Exact timings can shift slightly depending on the season, weather conditions, sunrise and sunset times, and even national park gate hours. Final schedules are usually confirmed closer to your travel dates.

Nestled in the shadow of these towering peaks, this special place offers a welcome pause; a chance to breathe deep, slow down, and simply be.

Here, time seems to stretch in the best way possible. Whether you choose to curl up with a book overlooking rolling hills, enjoy a slow, soulful walk among the acacias, or reflect on the whirlwind of experiences you’ve gathered over the past days—this is your space to reset.

But for those still feeling adventurous, the Drakensberg delivers in spectacular fashion. We’ll head out for a thrilling Scootour adventure—a gravity-powered ride down the slopes of the Central Drakensberg, using Swiss-designed, non-motorized scooters made for summertime fun in the Alps. Eco-friendly, easy to ride (if you can manage a bicycle, you're good to go), and packed with adrenaline-laced fun, it’s an exhilarating way to connect with the dramatic landscape around you.

Whether you're chasing adrenaline or cherishing stillness, Three Tree Hill offers the perfect balance—a place to reflect, recharge, and feel deeply connected to this heavenly part of Africa.

A sweet surprise awaits with a visit to Chocolate Heaven, where indulgence becomes art and every bite feels like a celebration.
