Welcome to Botswana! On arrival at Maun Airport after clearing immigration and customs, you will connect with your shared charter flight to your first safari camp in the Khwai Conservancy. Arrive in time for a late lunch and an afternoon safari activity.
Machaba Camp is a traditional style camp nestling in the game-rich Khwai area. The Khwai Concession is a 35 000 hectare reserve located in the northeastern section of the world-famous Okavango Delta and it shares its westerly border with the Moremi Game Reserve.
A typical day on safari brings different experiences but generally your safari day includes two major activities/game drives per day. One beginning early in the morning and the second starting mid to late afternoon. There may be times when you stay out all day and a picnic lunch is then provided.
Your day usually starts with an early wake up, normally before sunrise. You’ll have a light breakfast then a morning game drive to catch the animals in action before the heat of the day sets in. While out, you may stop and have some tea/coffee and snacks before returning to your camp/lodge for brunch or lunch and a siesta. Most morning activities are over by late morning (around 10/11:00am).
In the late afternoon (usually between 3:30-4:30pm), you’ll head back out for another game drive where often you will end with a ‘sundowner’ (drinks and snacks in the bush). You will then return to the camp/lodge in time for dinner and drinks. Most safari vehicles are partially if not entirely open to ensure that everyone has a great view.
On transfer days where you move between camps the itinerary may be slightly different depending on your schedule. Your guide and camp managers will discuss and plan your days with you.

At a time advised locally you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your shared charter flight to Kasane. On arrival you will be met by a camp representative and transferred to your camp located on the Chobe River Front. Arrive in time for an afternoon safari activity.
Located in the Chobe Forest Reserve in Western Botswana, the private Ngoma Safari Lodge is located on the edge of a plateau, offering endless views over the seasonal Chobe flood plain. Early this morning you will be transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport, clearing customs and immigration along the Zimbabwe border en route. Arrive in time for your shared charter flight to Hwange. On arrival you will be met by a camp representative and transferred to your camp. Arrive in time for lunch and a afternoon safari activity.
Situated in a remote southeastern part of the Hwange National Park, the camp is on a private concession that is not open to regular Park visitors. Verney’s Camp is on a large open floodplain surrounded by mopane and teak forests in which the tents are tucked.
