Arrival in Windhoek

You’ll be picked up at the airport by your tour guide and driven to the "Am Weinberg Boutique Hotel" in Windhoek, which offers everything for a relaxing stay. You can recover from the long flight, refresh yourself in the swimming pool or let yourself be pampered in the wellness area. In the afternoon, you can take a short city tour of Namibia's capital, where you’ll be enchanted by the charming mix of modern and colonial architecture. Afterwards you can enjoy the sunset from the Sky Bar, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Klein Windhoek district, before having dinner at one of the many restaurants on the premises.

Day 2: Okonjima Nature Reserve

Enjoy your first morning in Namibia with a sumptuous breakfast before heading north to Okonjima, the headquarters of the AfriCat Foundation.  The exclusive Bush Camp sits in a 22,000-hectare private nature reserve in the middle of the Omboroko Mountains. Here you will stay in a comfortable, detached African-style bungalow with its own lounge. You are already expected for lunch and in the afternoon, you’ll go on a game drive to search for the leopard, before rounding off the evening with a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Etosha South

To Etosha National Park

Today you drive via Outjo to the Etosha Oberland Lodge, a 5,000-hectare private game reserve which promises an unforgettable bush experience. With the large chalets lovingly integrated into the natural surroundings, you can enjoy the unique ambience of the lodge, relax at the swimming pool, or watch the animals come to drink at one of the two waterholes. In the afternoon you can choose for your tour guide to take you on your first game drives into the Etosha National Park, or just relax at the beautiful lodge.

Etosha National Park

Exciting game viewing awaits you today in the Etosha National Park, one of the largest animal reserves in the world, and considered one of the most outstanding game parks in Africa. You have the whole day to visit the various waterholes with your guide looking for elephants, giraffes, kudus, zebras, oryx antelopes, black-nosed impala, wildebeest, springbok, ostriches and, even lions. Make sure to leave the park by sunset at the latest.

Drive through the eastern Etosha National Park

You the private game reserve and drive through the eastern part of Etosha to Mushara, stopping at the various waterholes on the way and observing the animals quenching their thirst. Just a few kilometers after the exit of the park is the Mushara Outpost, a comfortable lodge offering tastefully furnished tents set up on wooden platforms on the banks of a dry riverbed.

Day 6: Rundu

Trip to Rundu

Today you enter the most densely populated part of Namibia, the Okavango. On the way, look out for the picturesque round huts of the local people of the Kavango tribe. The Hakusembe River Lodge is something of a remote paradise - hidden among lush vegetation on the banks of the Okavango, if offers both untouched nature and the comfort of a beautiful lodge. An unforgettable sunset boat cruise, with a view of Angola on the other side of the river, awaits.

Day 7: Divundu

At the Okavango

After being woken by wonderful birdsong you continue eastwards to the Caprivi, occasionally seeing the kraals of the Kavango people, and the thatch traders selling sheaves of straw along the road for the roofs of the huts. The comfortable and luxurious Divava Lodge is built under large trees near the Popa Falls, directly on the banks of the mighty Okavango River. Here, too, you’ll get to go on a sunset boat trip.

Day 8: Divundu

Mahangu National Park

Today, your tour guide will take you to the Mahango Game Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Namibia with lots of interesting wildlife. You can hope to see buffalo, elephants, hippos, or perhaps even the rare scimitar-horned oryx. Back at the lodge, you can relax and look forward to a very quiet night, with the huffing and puffing of hippos the only thing to hear.

You cross the Okavango and continue through the Bwabwata National Park to the Nambwa Tented Lodge. The very comfortable lodge, sitting under high camel thorn trees offers an experience of "pure Africa", with dense bush and deep sand tracks. As it is the only lodge with a concession in a national park in this part of Namibia and is built on one of the large floodplains of the Kwando River, you are spoiled for choice here. In the afternoon you can join a boat cruise on the Kwando, or a game drive in the Bwabwata Park. You are booked "Fully Inclusive", which means that all activities are already included in the price.

Day 10: Kwando River

In the morning you’ll go on a game drive in the Bwabwata National Park, where you’re sure to see elephants as the area around the Kwando River is considered to have the highest concentration of them in southern Africa. The landscape around the “Horseshoe” is particularly interesting. Back at the lodge, you can relax and enjoy the typical African atmosphere of the lodge or take another boat trip. Fishing, guided bush walks, and a visit to a traditional village and craft market are also on offer.

Day 11: Chobe River Front

To the Chobe River

Today you drive to Katima Mulilo and say goodbye to your tour guide. Don't worry though, all further transfers are organized, and you’ll be driven to Kasane in Botswana where you board the Chobe Princess houseboat, on which you’ll spend the next two nights. From the deck you can see right into the Chobe National Park, where huge herds of elephants often migrate to the river. You may also see giraffes, kudus, waterbucks, lechwes, and impalas. Buffalo are usually only seen in the early morning or late afternoon though, when they leave the bush to quench their thirst by the river.

On the Chobe River

You have the whole day on the houseboat to enjoy the tranquillity, the African ambience, and the wealth of wildlife with hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, while the almost tropical landscape leisurely passes by. You can also try your hand at "tiger fishing". For bird lovers, this area is a paradise, with over 400 different species counted.

Day 13: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

The journey continues by transfer to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and the traditional Victoria Falls Hotel, located very close to the famous waterfalls. You will certainly want to visit the world-famous waterfalls in the afternoon, where huge masses of water cascading over a 110-metre cliff face with a width of 1708 meters offers a truly breathtaking spectacle! The local Kololo people call the waterfall Mosi-oa-Tunya = "thundering smoke", a name that comes from the spray that rises up to 300 m and can still be seen 30 km away. Victoria Falls also offers many other activities such as: a visit to the crocodile farm, a boat trip to the sunset (also possible with dinner), or a helicopter flight over the waterfalls (optional).

Day 14: End of Itinerary

In the morning, you have time to participate in one of the various activities on offer (optional), before your transfer to the airport around midday, and departure in the early afternoon.
