Day 1: Port Elizabeth

Upon arrive in Port Elizabeth, head off to your accommodation for the evening, the tranquil Singa Lodge located in seaside suburb Summerstrand of Port Elizabeth, gateway to both the garden route and the Eastern Cape safari belt.

Day 2: Plettenberg Bay

Set off from Port Elizabeth and take a scenic drive to Plettenberg Bay. Stopping  along the way to admire the beautiful and varied scenery. Total driving time between Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay is approximately 2.5 hours. 

Plettenberg is famous for its blue flag beaches and attractions such as Robberg Peninsula Nature Reserve, the world's largest free-flight aviary Birds of Eden, Sea Kayaking and Whale Watching, as a base to start the coastal Otter Trail. 

Arrive at your accommodation, situated just five minutes from the bustling restaurants, galleries, coffee shops and bars of Plett’s Main Street, The Robberg is a tranquil beach-side haven. In the afternoon enjoy a walk on the beach and relax at the lodge, taking in the beautiful ocean views.

Day 3: Plettenberg Bay

A full day to enjoy the wealth of activites and attractions on offer in the area, you can be as busy and active as you like, or choose to just chill at the beach. 

We can recommend a visit to the stunning Tsitsikamma National Park where you can take a walk along the boardwalks to the swing bridges which cross the Storms River Mouth. some of the recommended adventure activities available here include Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour (a fun zip lining experience in the forest), a Kayak and Lilo experience and/or the World's Highest Bungee Jump at Bloukrans Bridge. 

If you prefer to stick around Plettenberg Bay there is a growing wine route, fun to do on a horse drawn carriage tour, there are also several animal sanctuaries all worth a visit.

Day 4: Franschhoek

Today we advise a visit to Knysna and to enjoy the Featherbed Eco Experience. Before Taking the scenic drive to Franschhoek. 

Travel along the scenic Route 62 - recently voted as "World's Best Road Trip" and also known as "The World's Longest Wine Route", stopping to admire the beautiful and varied scenery and to enjoy the little towns along the way. Total driving time between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn is approximately 5 hours. 

Arrive at your accommodation, nestled in the heart of Franschhoek, the Food and wine capital of South Africa, the Franschhoek Boutique Hotel offers luxury rooms, fine dining restaurants and wonderful art galleries of Franschhoek’s historic Main Street, in the late afternoon and settle into your room. 

Day 5: Cape Town

Today we recommend taking the Franschoek Wine Tram and enjoy stopping at various wine estates to experience the delicious South African wines and food we have.

In the afternoon make your way to your accommodation, The Three Boutique Hotel. Situated in central Cape Town and enjoy a stay in the Mother City.  In the evening maybe take a visit to the V&A Waterfront and choose among the many dining options for a delicious dinner.

Day 6: Cape Town

Today we advise a visit to the Cape Peninsula, with its beautiful views at the Cape of Good Hope and a visit to the comical African Penguin at Boulders Beach. This will be a full day of sight seeing.

In the afternoon maybe take a visit to the V&A Waterfront and choose among the many dining options for a delicious dinner.

 

Day 7: Cape Town

Today we advise a visit to the majestic Table Mountain, and get a birds eye view of the Mother City (weather permitting) or take a Walking City Tour and see the sights and attractions on foot while getting up close and personal to the locals and the history of Bo-Kaap.

In the afternoon maybe take a stunning sunset champagne cruise before a delicious dinner at the V&A Waterfront.

Day 8: End of Itinerary

Your final day, take a lazy morning and enjoy a spa treatment at the hotel, or take a a supping adventure for the more adventurous person.
