Day 1: Botswana

The tour starts with an early departure from Johannesburg. Traveling through the province of Limpopo you cross the border into Botswana and set up camp at Khama Rhino Sanctuary.

Day 2: Maun

Early morning, clients can join an optional 2 hour game drive in search of the many white rhino inhabiting Khama Rhino Sanctuary. We then travel along the western edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans arriving in Maun late afternoon. The evening is spent relaxing around the campfire and preparing for our 4×4 excursion into Moremi Wildlife Reserve the next day.

Days 3 - 4: Moremi Game Reserve

We change vehicles to our open sided 4×4 vehicles and arrive at Moremi by lunchtime. After lunch at South Gate we enter the park and travel to the Khwai area. This is a pure wilderness area of great beauty, with rich green vegetation, palm trees, teeming with birdlife and a vast population of wild animals. We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives exploring the reserve in open 4×4 safari vehicles. The private campsite is located inside the park where we set up bush toilets and bush showers.

Day 5: Maun

After an early morning game drive you exit Moremi and travel back to Maun. The afternoon is free, perhaps look at taking a 1 hour scenic flight over the Okavango Delta (own expense).

Day 6: Maun

Today you will have the opportunity to enjoy a Mokoro excursion into the Okavango Delta. Depart Maun early morning and road transfer approximately 1 -2 hours depending on water levels. Upon arrival at the mokoro boat station, a mokoro poler will be introduced to you and will be your boatman and guide throughout the excursion. Enjoy the Delta by Mokoro and nature / game walks. Mid afternoon road transfer back to Maun.

Days 7 - 8: Kasane

Continue through Botswana to Kasane and your camp is set up on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. The following day, sunset is enjoyed on a relaxing game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River. Optional morning game drive in the Chobe National Park (own expense).

Days 9 - 10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After breakfast, you travel across the Zimbabwe border to view Victoria Falls - one of the most spectacular sights in Africa. Days are spent at leisure to browse the local markets, to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including white water rafting, bungi jumping, microlighting/ airplane or helicopter over the Falls and to visit the Falls (own expense).

Overnight in tourist class hotel (Sprayview Hotel or similar). Breakfasts included, other meals for own account.

Day 11: Nata

Crossing back into Botswana you set up camp at Nata. That afternoon visit the Makgadikgadi Pans for a truly unforgettable sunset over what remains of an ancient 6500km2 lake.

Days 12 - 13: Northern Tuli Game Reserve

Travelling South to the Tuli area of Botswana. The Tuli area is rich in archaeological heritage and beautiful San rock art sites have been discovered alongside numerous archaeological sites dating back from the Stone Age. Scattered artefacts are still being discovered across the reserve. It is also a great game area that is unfenced as to preserve natural migratory patterns. Tonight you camp on the banks of the Limpopo River. Day 13 we enjoy a guided morning game walk and a late afternoon / evening game drive.

Day 14: End of Itinerary

Today, you exit Botswana and travel back to Johannesburg. Tour ends at 17h00 with drop off at Safari Club or Johannesburg International Airport.  (B)
