The journey to Khwai route offers a captivating exploration of Botswana's diverse landscapes and rich wildlife. This route not only showcases the stunning natural beauty of the Okavango Delta but also provides an opportunity to experience the vibrant culture of the local communities. Travelers can expect to encounter a variety of ecosystems, from lush wetlands to arid savannas, making it a remarkable adventure for nature enthusiasts and wildlife photographers alike.  

Gweta is a small village located in the Central District of Botswana, near the edge of the vast Makgadikgadi Salt Pans—one of the largest salt flats in the world. Known as the "Gateway to the Pans," Gweta serves as a popular base for tourists exploring the surreal landscapes of the pans, as well as the nearby baobab trees and wildlife. The village has a traditional rural charm and is home to the Bakalanga and Batswana people. Despite its remote setting, Gweta offers unique cultural experiences and access to incredible natural phenomena, including seasonal migrations of zebras and flamingos.

Located near the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans and known for the nearby Nata Bird Sanctuary, a haven for birdlife including flamingos and pelicans. The village of Nata is part of the Central District and is predominantly inhabited by the Basarwa and Bayei peoples. Nata offers visitors a blend of cultural insight and access to some of Botswana’s most striking natural landscapes.

After breakfast you head towards Kasane where you drop off your rental vehicle.  Here you will be transferred to your bush retreat on the Chobe River. There you will spend the next two days with exciting game drives, game viewing and boat trips to enjoy spectacular animal sightings from the water.

After a hearty breakfast, you continue your journey to Zimbabwe! You will be picked up by a transfer service and drive towards the famous Victoria Falls. Once you arrive in the small town and your accommodation, freshen up before setting off on further activities. You will spend the next few days exploring the spectacular waterfalls and the town of Victoria Falls in depth! All activities include return transfers from your hotel.

Transfer to the airport and and check-in for your flight back home.
