Day 1: Windhoek

Today you will be met in the arrivals hall of the Windhoek International Airport by your driver and guide who will take you to your overnight stop before you begin your Namibian adventure. 

Depending on your flight time, you may have the afternoon to yourselves to explore the town. 

Days 2 - 3: Sossusvlei

Today your guide will drive you from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. This drive will be approximately 4 hours. 

You will have 2 nights here to explore this region and experience this incredible scenery of ancient dunes and riverbeds, it is one of the iconic vistas that many associate with Namibia.

During your time here you will go into the park to go and experience and see the Dead vlei area and drive along Sossus Vlei to see the massive dunes and even climb these monsters if you are feeling energetic.

You could also opt for the early morning balloon ride over the dunes which is an incredible activity that happens right before sunrise so you are floating over the dunes as the sun rises.

Activities and Services

Days 4 - 5: Swakopmund

Today you will be driving to Swakopmund for the next 2 nights of your adventure. There are a few different routes possible but it will take most of the morning to get there and should be there in time for lunch.

While in Swakopmund, there are a number of activities that you are able to add into your itinerary for an additional charge. 

  • Dolphin and Seal Cruise
  • Sandwich Harbour 4x4 half day excursion
  • Living desert - half day morning *Recommended
  • Quad biking 1 hour
  • Kayaking pelican point experience *Recommended

For dinner there are a number of nice restaurants here and you should take advantage of the wonderful specialty of fresh oysters that Swakopmund is famous for.

Lizard

Days 6 - 7: Twyfelfontein

Today you will be making your way up north to Twyfelfontein and into the Damaraland. This drive will be around 3.5 - 4 hours and while here you will be able to explore the wonders of the Damaraland region of Namibia, including the organ pipes and the petrified forest. 

You can also look for the famous desert adapted elephants that eke out an existence here in this very dry and unforgiving, but beautiful, environment that holds a remarkable diversity of wildlife including big mammals like Black Rhino, Southern Giraffe and Elephants. 

Days 8 - 9: Ongava Private Game Reserve

Today the safari portion of your adventure will begin. You will be travelling to Etosha National Park. This drive will take you around 3 hours to do today, depending on any stops that you may make along the way. 

You will have a total of 3 nights in Etosha, at two different locations both situated in private concession areas just on the boundary of the park which gives you access to their private areas along with the Etosha National Park itself which has an incredible density and variety of wildlife. Great for cheetah and rhino sightings along with herds of Springbok, Wildebeest, Oryx and much more, plus some real specials like Mountain Zebra and Cape Fox.

Day 10: Onguma Game Reserve

You will be moving camps today and you will drive through the park to your final destination of your safari adventure. This drive will be a minimum of 3.5 hours, depending on what you see along the way. 

Day 11: Okonjima Nature Reserve

You should arrive at Okonjima in time for lunch so you can settle in and have a short rest before going to have a look at their AfriCat project that focuses on Cheetah and their conservation with some really fascinating research that is ongoing. In the evening you have the option of doing a night drive back to the lodge or even go and see if you can find the pangolin tracking team and follow one of those fascinating creatures as they forage in the night for Ants and Termites.

Day 12: End of Itinerary

An early start with a game drive back through Okonjima to the main road and then back to Windhoek and the International airport for your departure flight. This will all be timed to suit your International Departures.
