Days 1 - 2: Boteti River - Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

Upon arrival at Maun Airport, your family will be greeted by a Desert & Delta Safaris representative who will assist you in boarding your light aircraft for transfer to Leroo La Tau. From the Leroo La Tau airstrip, you will be transferred by road to the Lodge, where you settle into your luxurious family room, consisting of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, overlooking the Boteti River. Your family will spend the next two nights in Leroo La Tau enjoying daily safaris along the Boteti River to observe the wildlife that populates the region. The lodge also offers excursions to the nearby village of Khumaga to experience and learn about Botswana's unique culture.

Days 3 - 4: Moremi Game Reserve

After your last morning activity in Leroo La Tau, you will return to the airstrip for transfer by light aircraft to Camp Xakanaxa in the Moremi Game Reserve. The flight will offer you an introduction to the Okavango Delta, while witnessing the vastness and uniqueness of the territory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from above. Once landed at the Moremi airstrip, your guide will transfer you by road to the Xakanaxa camp where you settle in your luxurious family tent. You will spend the next two nights at Camp Xakanaxa enjoying game drives and boat trips to discover the wildlife that populates the Moremi Game Reserve.

Days 5 - 6: Okavango Delta

Enjoy a last morning game drive in Moremi Game Reserve before transferring by light plane to Camp Okavango, a remote lodge on a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Here you will spend the next two nights exploring the intricacies of the Okavango Delta by participating in a variety of activities including mokoro excursions, boat safaris and guided bush walks. If your family is keen on fishing, optional fishing excursions are available in season. There is also a helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta (for a fee) for those interested in learning more about the Okavango Delta by plane.

A once in a lifetime experience, a night spent on the Sleep-Out Deck will allow guests to reconnect with nature in one of the world's most majestic natural environments. The Okavango Delta is one of the largest wetlands in the world, an unspoiled destination where animals proliferate. With 160 mammal species and 530 bird species, this is one of the best places to observe wildlife in Africa. The luxurious Sleep-Out Deck in the bush allows guests to get to know their surroundings. Fall asleep looking at the sparkling night sky and wake up softly to the beautiful African sunrise and the glorious sound of birdsong. In keeping with Camp Okavango's beautiful design, the Sleep-Out Deck is elevated to take advantage of the breathtaking panoramic views and protect guests from wildlife. Comfort has also been taken into consideration as the Sleep-Out Deck is equipped with private toilets and mosquito nets. The Sleep-Out Deck includes a large double bed, a bed can be added to accommodate small families (with a maximum of two children aged between 6 and 12). A dedicated and qualified guide will always be at a short distance to ensure the safety and comfort of your family and at the same time provide you with the privacy to enjoy the Okavango Delta all to yourself. Facing east, you can admire the spectacular Botswana sunrise, as the exceptional staff at Camp Okavango will provide fresh tea and coffee in the morning to enjoy the experience.

Days 7 - 8: Chobe National Park

The last stop on the journey is the Chobe Game Lodge. After your morning activity at Camp Okavango, you will be transferred by light plane to Kasane Airport. Your guide awaiting you there will meet and transfer you to Chobe Game Lodge, where you will spend the next two nights. With daily game drives and exciting river cruises, Chobe Game Lodge is the perfect end to your vacation. The lodge is located inside the Chobe park, which guarantees the largest concentration of wild animals around the lodge. This park is the best place to admire the magnificent African elephants, which in the Chobe Natiional Park are particularly numerous. The boat excursions are led by expert guides and offer a different view of the animals. Especially during the rainy season, animals come by the hundreds to drink, creating a wonderful natural spectacle.
At the end of your stay you will be transferred by road to Kasane Airport for your return flight. Alternatively, we recommend adding a few more days to nearby Victoria Falls.

Days 9 - 10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Kids of all ages will love visiting Victoria Falls - seeing the world's largest waterfall and getting soaked in mist and spray, one of the best travel experiences in the world. Aside from the thrill of exploring the waterfalls, the activities offered in the area couldn't be more exciting, and many of them are suitable for young children. For teenagers aged 14 or 15 there are adrenaline-pumping rafting trips on the Zambezi River rapids, river gorge hikes, swinging from the bridge, bungee jumping and swimming in the world's most exciting infinity pool on the edge of the falls.
Children can choose from a variety of experiences, follow white rhinos on foot (for children over 14), undertake a boat excursion on the Zambezi River for fishing trips (for children over four) or take part in overnight canoe safaris to spot animals wild animals and birds (for children over seven years). There are also many other activities for children of all ages. Highlights include Victoria Falls steam train and tram rides, river cruises, fly over the falls by helicopter, and practice their African percussion skills at the Boma Experience in Victoria Falls.
