Today we drive you to the train station for the train to Emali. A Camp vehicle is waiting for you to take you on the one hour drive to Amboseli.
Nestled within the untouched beauty of the ALOCA conservancy, Elephant Gorge Camp offers a sanctuary for those seeking a deep connection with the wilderness. The private lodge, framed by the towering presence of Mt. Kilimanjaro, invites you to experience the African bush like never before.
Enjoy a first game drive in the afternoon and get amazing photos of the game in front of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The conservancy is only 2km from the Tanzanian border. Enjoy your first sundowner against this spectacular backdrop

Nearby is Amboseli National Park. The park is renowned as the home of some of the last big tusker elephants, which look like modern-day mammoths! It is also known for having the most scenic views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania. It offers an interesting contrast between its spring-fed swamps surrounded by dry and dusty plains, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash that came out of Mt Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. In spite of the appearance, there is a continuous supply of glacial meltwater that gets filtered through volcanic rocks from Kilimanjaro's melted snow. These streams flow underground, creating lush green areas, and converge at two clear water springs in the park. These springs also feed the lake in the park which is home to waterfowl, including flocks of pink flamingoes.

Wildlife you can spot here include zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, impalas, caracals, serval cats, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and buffalos among others. There are also over 400 species of birds, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, African fish eagles, martial eagles, and pygmy falcons. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants, keeping an eye out for the superstar super tuskers! The views of Kilimanjaro can be elusive as it may be shrouded in fog but your chances are best in the early morning when there can be no better view of the largest freestanding mountain in the world!

After breakfast transfer back to Emali train station for your train to Mombasa or Nairobi
